Budimex focuses on\u00a0the young. The general contractor continues its cooperation with the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation \u2013 an organisation which, based on\u00a0modern teaching methodology, helps young people develop pro-innovative competencies needed at\u00a0work and in\u00a0private life, such as: empathy and a\u00a0sense of empowerment, creativity, teamwork, communication and problem-solving. The campaign is aimed at\u00a0students of technical colleges and aims to\u00a0develop their competencies.<\/p>\n

Budimex, together with the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation, toured schools all over the country and created the project \u2018An internship that stays with you\u2019. Thanks to\u00a0it, 34 teams of students have been working on\u00a0CSR projects since November 2022. Students who have joined the project can expect substantive support from Budimex. The company\u2019s experts answer the young people\u2019s questions regularly through a\u00a0specially created communication channel. A\u00a0Q&A session with specialists was organised in\u00a0January.<\/p>\n

\u2018We are happy that we\u00a0can support the education system and share practical construction knowledge with young people. We\u00a0hope that we\u00a0will also be\u00a0able to\u00a0encourage students to\u00a0study construction-related subjects\u2019, <\/em>says Marta Sobo\u0144, Head of Recruitment and Employer Branding at\u00a0Budimex.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Budimex started cooperation with the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation last year. In\u00a0the beginning, a\u00a0survey was conducted among students of technical colleges to\u00a0gather information on\u00a0brand recognition, as\u00a0well as\u00a0on\u00a0young people\u2019s career plans. An online survey was completed by\u00a0355 people. In\u00a0September 2022, Budimex employees, together with the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation, embarked on\u00a0a\u00a0tour of selected technical colleges across Poland. They visited 127 schools in\u00a0person, and almost 12,000 students took part in\u00a0the meetings. In\u00a0addition, promotional materials were sent to\u00a070 schools via a\u00a0remote tour.<\/p>\n

The visits to\u00a0the schools triggered Budimex\u2019s cooperation with almost 40 technical colleges across the country. Employees of the company have already started to\u00a0give educational lectures to\u00a0the students of these schools. Young people have also been invited to\u00a0open days at\u00a0the construction sites of Poland\u2019s largest general contractor \u2013 at\u00a0the Warszawa Zachodnia railway station, the Port of Gdynia and the railway drawbridge over Regalica in\u00a0Podjuchy. Students will also have the opportunity to\u00a0complete an internship with the company, which will start on\u00a01 March this year.<\/p>\n

The three best projects will receive awards, and the victorious schools will get money from Budimex to\u00a0renovate their classrooms or\u00a0equip them, for example, with computers, depending on\u00a0their needs. As\u00a0early as\u00a021 April, a\u00a0grand finale will be\u00a0held in\u00a0the Warsaw S\u0142u\u017cewiec district, where the achievements of talented teenagers will be\u00a0celebrated.<\/p>\n

Budimex has been supporting young people on\u00a0their career paths for a\u00a0long time. An internship programme has been in\u00a0place for many years, and thanks to\u00a0it, more than 1,400 people have gained their first work experience. The Budimex Startup Challenge Competition was also a\u00a0great success, addressed to\u00a0innovative enterprises and young technology companies offering products, services and solutions in\u00a0the scope of energy, renewable energy sources and green technologies in\u00a0construction. Budimex also established cooperation with students of a\u00a0Krakow high school, who won the European Space Agency competition.<\/p>\n

Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation was established in\u00a02013 as\u00a0a\u00a0way of supplementing school education with practical skills. By\u00a0working on\u00a0their social project, young people develop competencies such as\u00a0empathy, a\u00a0sense of empowerment, creativity, teamwork, communication and problem-solving. Furthermore, as\u00a0of 2019, there is a\u00a0teacher platform through which the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation teachers can support young people as\u00a0they go\u00a0through the project.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section> ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
