On\u00a012 August 2021, Budimex S.A. and Mostostal Krak\u00f3w S.A. and Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. S.A. Branch in\u00a0Poland signed an agreement on\u00a0strategic cooperation on\u00a0the Polish refining, petrochemical, energy and\u00a0infrastructure markets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting devoted to\u00a0the signing of the contract was attended by\u00a0the President of the Management Board Artur Popko on\u00a0the part of Budimex, Jacek Lech \u2013 President of the Management Board of Mostostal Krak\u00f3w and Pawe\u0142 \u015amigla \u2013 Proxy. Hyundai was represented by\u00a0Won Ock Kim \u2013 Vice President, Head of the Energy Infrastructure Department responsible for the European market, Jung Ho\u00a0Song, as\u00a0well as\u00a0Iga Lis \u2013 Member of the Management Board of Hyundai Engineering Poland sp. z\u00a0o.o. \u2013 a\u00a0subsidiary of HEC.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the agreement, each party will decide to\u00a0participate in\u00a0a\u00a0specific project together. If Hyundai agrees, it will receive support in\u00a0the bidding process at\u00a0the stage of negotiations with the Customer by\u00a0the Budimex Group, and\u00a0if\u00a0the contract is won \u2013 also its implementation. The concluded agreement is of a\u00a0general and\u00a0framework nature. If\u00a0you are interested in\u00a0joint activities, it is a\u00a0strong basis for further cooperation, including\u00a0, above all, the implementation of the\u00a0project.<\/p>\n

\u2013 We\u00a0are pleased with the strategic cooperation agreement signed today, all the more so as\u00a0Mostostal Krak\u00f3w, a\u00a0company belonging to\u00a0the Budimex Group, is already in\u00a0the process of implementing projects with\u00a0Hyundai with a\u00a0total value of approx. PLN 48 million. In\u00a02020, contracts were signed for the assembly of steel structures on\u00a0the\u00a0Polimery POLICE project and for the supply of steel structures for platforms, also as\u00a0part of the project <\/em>\u2013 says Artur Popko, President of\u00a0Budimex S.A.<\/p>\n

\u2013Currently <\/em>Hyundai Engineering has two major projects in\u00a0the chemical industry in\u00a0its portfolio on\u00a0the Polish market and intends to\u00a0expand its operations in\u00a0the Polish market in\u00a0the long term. Especially in\u00a0the current pandemic situation, cooperation with Polish companies on\u00a0the implementation of projects in\u00a0Poland is a\u00a0priority for Hyundai Engineering, as\u00a0it reduces the risk resulting from the collapse of the supply chain. Hyundai Engineering recognises the need to\u00a0make maximum use of local resources in\u00a0the country of project implementation in\u00a0terms of materials, equipment and professional subcontractors, wherever it is technically possible and economically justified, which is why the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement with the Budimex Group is a\u00a0milestone in\u00a0order to\u00a0implement projects in\u00a0Poland \u2013 <\/em>emphasized Won Ock Kim \u2013 Vice\u00a0President of Hyundai Engineering.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
