The welding works were carried out by Budimex on the border of Polish and Slovak countries.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>At the moment, preparations are already underway for the acceptance procedure of the gas pipeline implemented by Budimex since 2019.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"height: 25px\" width=\"12\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 0px;width: 0px\">\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>On the third of August 2021. Budimex \u2013 the general contractor of the 61 km long Strachocina \u2013 Polish Border gas pipeline has connected \u00a0the Polish section of the new gas pipeline with its extension on the Slovak side through\u00a0 the so-called \u201cStrachocina \u2013 Polish Border\u201d gas pipeline. \u201cgolden weld\u201d .<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>The construction of the new gas pipeline has been underway since July 2019. At the moment, preparations are already being made for the gas pipeline acceptance procedure. Nearly 100 subcontractors and about \u00a01000 employees have worked on the construction site so far<\/em>  \u2013 says Artur Popko \u2013 President of the Management Board of Budimex SA<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The aim of the project is to build a new cross-border gas pipeline that will connect the natural gas transmission systems of Poland and Slovakia. The parties to the project are GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. and Eustream a.s. \u2013 the Polish and Slovak transmission system operators.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>As part of this task, we used 27 thousand tons of steel \u2013 the equivalent of the weight of eight Eiffel Towers. We covered 20 trenchless sections, m.in. under rivers and roads. We also made 390 km of micropiles to strengthen the area through which the gas pipeline passes<\/em>  \u2013 adds Artur Popko<em>. We also moved 6,300\u00a0m3 of land that would fit in a freight train with a total length of 213 km  <\/em>\u2013 sums up the President of Budimex.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The investment includes the construction of a 61 km high-pressure gas pipeline\u00a0 with a diameter of DN 1000 and an operating pressure of \u00a08.4 MPa.\u00a0 During the implementation, trenchless technologies such as HDD (horizontal directional drilling) or microtunneling were used.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The route of the gas pipeline runs through the municipalities of Sanok, Bukowsko and Koma\u0144cza in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The investment is an important element of Gaz-System\u2019s investment strategy due to its strategic importance\u00a0 \u2013 the interconnection of the Polish and Slovak natural gas transmission systems.
