On\u00a0Thursday, August 26, 2021. in\u00a0\u015aroda \u015al\u0105ska, the construction of the PepsiCo plant was officially opened with the laying of the foundation stone. The project, whose contractor is Budimex, is PepsiCo\u2019s largest investment in\u00a0Poland. It is very important for the development of the Polish economy. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The opening of the construction site was attended by\u00a0m.in.\u00a0Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, President of PepsiCo Europe Silviu Popovici, Mayor of \u015aroda \u015al\u0105ska Adam Ruci\u0144ski, President of the Legnica Special Economic Zone Przemys\u0142aw Bo\u017cek, President of the Management Board of Budimex SA Artur Popko and President of the Management Board of ARUP El\u017cbieta Cicho\u0144ska.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0the implementation of the investment, Budimex\u00a0 is responsible for the construction of the plant with internal installations, including electromechanical works, as\u00a0well as\u00a0land development and technical infrastructure. The value of the investment is over PLN 350 million. The contract will be\u00a0implemented in\u00a0stages in\u00a02021-2025.<\/p>\n

The area of the building plot is 30 ha, and the building area is 54,700 m2. The building is to\u00a0have the highest ecological parameters. It will be\u00a0the first PepsiCo plant in\u00a0the world whose design solutions will seek to\u00a0reduce the carbon footprint already at\u00a0the construction stage. The plant is to\u00a0be\u00a0equipped with advanced and technologically most technologically efficient production lines with the lowest consumption of\u00a0energy, water and gas per 1 kg of production. The building is to\u00a0be\u00a0equipped with a\u00a0water recovery system, technological heat with heat conversion into cooling and heating.<\/p>\n

With environmental protection in\u00a0mind, the company\u2019s own photovoltaics will be\u00a0installed in\u00a0the office building and a\u00a0high-class wastewater treatment facility, as\u00a0well as\u00a0electric car power points. The plant will be\u00a0climate neutral.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
