On\u00a0September 6, 2021. in\u00a0Bielsk Podlaski, a\u00a0ceremonial signing of the contract for the construction of the S19 Ha\u0107ki \u2013 Bielsk Podlaski expressway, which is part of the international Via Carpatia route, took place. The investor of the contract is the General Directorate for National Roads and\u00a0Motorways<\/strong> (GDDKiA).<\/strong><\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the investment, Budimex will be\u00a0responsible for the construction of a\u00a0section of the S19 expressway on\u00a0the Ha\u0107ki \u2013 Bielsk Podlaski Zach\u00f3d section (with a\u00a0junction) and a\u00a0section of DK No. 66 to\u00a0the existing DK No. 19. The contract value is PLN 265 million net.<\/p>\n

The section covered by\u00a0the contract is 9 km of expressway with the Bielsk Podlaski P\u00f3\u0142noc and Bielsk Podlaski Zach\u00f3d road junctions. The investment also includes the construction of the Road Maintenance Circuit. In\u00a0addition, seven viaducts, seven ecological culverts and two animal crossings are also to\u00a0be\u00a0built.<\/p>\n

The project is to\u00a0be\u00a0implemented in\u00a0the \u201cDesign and Build\u201d formula. The start of construction is dated the second half of 2022. Budimex has 36 months to\u00a0complete the contract \u2013 completion is expected in\u00a02024.<\/p>\n

The entire S19 expressway is to\u00a0be\u00a0part of the international road connection Via Carpatia connecting Northern and Southern Europe. It is to\u00a0be\u00a0570 km long and will run from the border crossing with Belarus in\u00a0Ku\u017anica Bia\u0142ostocka to\u00a0the border with Slovakia in\u00a0Barwinek.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
