On\u00a0the occasion of the start of the school year, Budimex is continuing the pilot project of 3D line painting. In\u00a0Bogusz\u00f3w-Gorce, another three-dimensional pedestrian crossing has just been built, implemented as\u00a0part of the Hello ICE \u2013 Budimex for Children programme. After Bartoszyce, Lesznowola, Miech\u00f3w, Sanok and Cz\u0119stochowa, it is the sixth city in\u00a0Poland to\u00a0test the increasingly popular solution.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThree-dimensional stripes are very popular among cities and local governments, so in\u00a0response to\u00a0their expectations, we\u00a0decided to\u00a0continue the project in\u00a0the new school year. This is an important element of Budimex\u2019s efforts to\u00a0raise awareness of safety, both for pedestrians and drivers<\/span><\/em><\/span> \u2013 said Aldona Or\u0142owski, Director of the Recruitment, Development and Communication Office at\u00a0Budimex SA.<\/strong> \u2013 The Hello ICE program is an initiative that we\u00a0are really proud of. We\u00a0believe that any solution that can improve road safety is worth a\u00a0practical test <\/em>\u2013Adds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3D belts are an unusual and rare solution not only in\u00a0Poland, but also in\u00a0the world. Thanks to\u00a0the optical illusion, they look like an obstacle, which prompts drivers to\u00a0take their foot off the accelerator. The solution has so far been looked at\u00a0m.in.\u00a0in\u00a0the Indian capital, where it was shown that the average speed of vehicles before the 3D transition was as\u00a0much as\u00a040% lower than in\u00a0the case of \u201cstandard\u201d lanes. Three-dimensional \u201czebras\u201d have been created in\u00a0recent years, among others in\u00a0Iceland, London, China and France. Interestingly, the lanes attract the attention of not only drivers, but also pedestrians. It should be\u00a0emphasized that they are also an interesting contribution to\u00a0a\u00a0conversation with children about what can happen on\u00a0the road. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3D belts are not everything<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the Hello ICE program, not only three-dimensional stripes are painted. An important element of it are events aimed at\u00a0deepening knowledge in\u00a0the field of road safety. Therefore, in\u00a0addition to\u00a0the 3D belts, Budimex also organised a\u00a0Safety Day at\u00a0Primary School No. 6 in\u00a0Bogusz\u00f3w Gorce. The organizers, led by\u00a0Budi the Tiger (the mascot of the program), safely led the students along the new lanes and conducted classes on\u00a0road safety. In\u00a0addition to\u00a0expanding knowledge and increasing awareness, fun is equally important, which is why the Hello ICE team also conducted a\u00a0road simulation in\u00a0a\u00a0specially prepared safety town. Reflectors and ICE (In\u00a0Case of Emergency) cards were waiting for children, with space for the data of a\u00a0parent or\u00a0guardian. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 On\u00a0behalf of myself, the mayor and the residents of the city <\/span><\/em><\/span>Boguszowa-Gorc<\/span><\/em><\/span> I\u00a0would like to\u00a0thank you very much for the whole project. The event was something special, and for the students of Primary School No. 6 it was a\u00a0brilliant lesson that touches on\u00a0such an important topic as\u00a0road safety. We\u00a0very much hope that other towns will follow us and this innovative project will become something really great<\/span><\/em><\/span> \u2013 says Micha\u0142 Fory\u015b, councillor of the city of Bogusz\u00f3w-Gorce<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the Hello ICE programme, there is also an interactive map of dangerous spots around schools and kindergartens created by\u00a0Budimex. The essence of the solution is to\u00a0eliminate dangers in\u00a0sensitive points as\u00a0soon as\u00a0possible, in\u00a0cooperation with local governments. The program\u2019s website publishes ready-made lesson plans on\u00a0safety, intended for teachers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hello ICE is a\u00a0social and educational program addressed to\u00a0kindergartens and grades I-III of primary schools, aimed at\u00a0educating children in\u00a0the field of road safety. The program received the honorary patronage of the Minister of Infrastructure and the Minister of National Education. The education of the youngest should not take place only at\u00a0school. You can contribute to\u00a0improving safety by\u00a0marking danger points on\u00a0the Hello ICE website on\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
