Construction of a\u00a0section<\/strong> of the S5 expressway<\/strong> Ornowo-Wirwajdy crossed the halfway point. The works carried out by\u00a0Budimex on\u00a0a\u00a0section of the S5 expressway between Ostr\u00f3da and I\u0142awa are ahead of schedule. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The section implemented under the contract, which is approximately 5.3 km long, is a\u00a0continuation of the Ostr\u00f3da bypass and is part of the S5 expressway to\u00a0Grudzi\u0105dz, and finally to\u00a0Bydgoszcz, Pozna\u0144 and Wroc\u0142aw.<\/p>\n

The implementation of the investment is carried out in\u00a0the \u201cDesign and Build\u201d formula. Currently, after 16 months of construction works, the Ornowo \u2013 Wirwajdy expressway section is at\u00a0the stage of over 50% progress. Due to\u00a0the fact that the contract is due to\u00a0be\u00a0completed in\u00a0May 2023, this is\u00a0a\u00a0very good progress of construction works \u2013 <\/em>says Cezary \u0141ysenko \u2013 Director of Infrastructure Construction at\u00a0Budimex<\/p>\n

Work is being carried out on\u00a0multiple fronts at\u00a0the same time. The construction of embankments, bridges and roadway structural layers is being carried out. The first sections of bituminous foundations have already\u00a0been laid. On\u00a0average, 170 workers and 98 heavy equipment units work on\u00a0the construction site. \u00a0The reconstruction of power, teletechnical, water and sewage\u00a0and gas collisions has already been completed. Currently\u00a0, a\u00a0rainwater drainage system, a\u00a0teletechnical channel, as\u00a0well as\u00a0\u00a0reinforcements of retention reservoirs and works on\u00a0the Morli\u0144ska Struga watercourse are being built \u2013 <\/em>says Cezary \u0141ysenko.<\/p>\n

The construction of the S5 on\u00a0the Ornowo \u2013 Wirwajdy section is another road investment of Budimex in\u00a0this part of Polish. Earlier, the general contractor completed the Olsztyn bypass and the Ostr\u00f3da bypass, subsections A\u00a0and B, i.e. a\u00a0nearly 20-kilometre section of the S7 expressway (9.7 km) and a\u00a0slightly shorter national road DK16 (9 km).<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
