Construction of a section<\/strong> of the S5 expressway<\/strong> Ornowo-Wirwajdy crossed the halfway point. The works carried out by Budimex on a section of the S5 expressway between Ostr\u00f3da and I\u0142awa are ahead of schedule. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The section implemented under the contract, which is approximately 5.3 km long, is a continuation of the Ostr\u00f3da bypass and is part of the S5 expressway to Grudzi\u0105dz, and finally to Bydgoszcz, Pozna\u0144 and Wroc\u0142aw.<\/p>\n

The implementation of the investment is carried out in the \u201cDesign and Build\u201d formula. Currently, after 16 months of construction works, the Ornowo \u2013 Wirwajdy expressway section is at the stage of over 50% progress. Due to the fact that the contract is due to be completed in May 2023, this is\u00a0a very good progress of construction works \u2013 <\/em>says Cezary \u0141ysenko \u2013 Director of Infrastructure Construction at Budimex<\/p>\n

Work is being carried out on multiple fronts at the same time. The construction of embankments, bridges and roadway structural layers is being carried out. The first sections of bituminous foundations have already\u00a0been laid. On average, 170 workers and 98 heavy equipment units work on the construction site. \u00a0The reconstruction of power, teletechnical, water and sewage\u00a0and gas collisions has already been completed. Currently\u00a0, a rainwater drainage system, a teletechnical channel, as well as\u00a0\u00a0reinforcements of retention reservoirs and works on the Morli\u0144ska Struga watercourse are being built \u2013 <\/em>says Cezary \u0141ysenko.<\/p>\n

The construction of the S5 on the Ornowo \u2013 Wirwajdy section is another road investment of Budimex in this part of Polish. Earlier, the general contractor completed the Olsztyn bypass and the Ostr\u00f3da bypass, subsections A and B, i.e. a nearly 20-kilometre section of the S7 expressway (9.7 km) and a slightly shorter national road DK16 (9 km).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
