Budimex won as\u00a0many as\u00a0five Construction of the Year 2020 awards, commonly known as\u00a0the Construction Oscars. The Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians awarded the best construction projects in\u00a0Poland in\u00a0terms of engineering completed in\u00a02020.<\/p>\n

Budimex won the most awards among all general contractors. PZIiTB awarded investments completed by\u00a0Budimex, such as:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Racib\u00f3rz Dolny Retention Reservoir in\u00a0Racib\u00f3rz
\u2022 The first stage of the reconstruction of the Monopolis office and service complex in\u00a0\u0141\u00f3d\u017a at\u00a0ul.\u00a0Dr\u00a0Stefana Kopci\u0144skiego 62
\u2022 Wola Retro in\u00a0Warsaw at\u00a0ul.\u00a0Skierniewicka 16\/20
\u2022 Modernization of the Idzikowice railway station
\u2022 Communication Centre with an information system for passengers in\u00a0Kielce at\u00a0ul.\u00a0Czarnowska 12<\/p>\n

The title of the Construction of the Year is won by\u00a045 of the best construction sites in\u00a0Poland. A\u00a0special jury, after a\u00a0technical visit to\u00a0the construction site, assesses the quality of works, the organization of construction and the time of its implementation, technical and technological solutions of the implementation process, occupational safety and health protection, the course and form of financing the investment, the costs of construction of the building, formal and legal solutions in\u00a0the investment process, the investor\u2019s participation in\u00a0the construction of the building and the impact of the investment on\u00a0the environment and the economy of the region.<\/p>\n

The investment awarded in\u00a0the competition \u2013 the Racib\u00f3rz Dolny Reservoir is the largest hydrotechnical investment in\u00a0Poland. It was commissioned by\u00a0the Regional Water Management Authority in\u00a0Gliwice. More than 6.8 million tons of soil were used for its construction, which would accommodate a\u00a0total of 130,960 freight wagons.<\/p>\n

Another awarded investment, i.e. Monopolis in\u00a0\u0141\u00f3d\u017a, is one of the most technologically advanced revitalization facilities, not only in\u00a0Poland. The investment also received the \u201cReal Estate Oscar\u201d during the prestigious MIPIM Awards ceremony in\u00a0Paris. The project was next to\u00a0the four best investments in\u00a0Singapore, Montreal and Bangkok. The basic assumption of the project was to\u00a0restore the cohesion of the entire post-industrial area of the Polmos Spirits Plant. Preparing the facilities to\u00a0perform new functions was as\u00a0important as\u00a0preserving their original appearance.<\/p>\n

Also the award-winning Wola Retro in\u00a0Warsaw is an office investment being realized in\u00a0Warsaw\u2019s Wola district. \u00a0It is a\u00a0combination of two buildings \u2013 a\u00a0pre-war modernist building with a\u00a0new ten-storey office building. The facility combines interesting design with high quality workmanship.<\/p>\n

The modernization of the Idzikowice railway station included the modernization of the track surface with drainage, overhead contact line, power engineering, railway traffic control devices, telecommunications and the construction of a\u00a0signal box with and expansion of the emergency group hall of PKP PLK maintenance services. The works were carried out as\u00a0part of the project \u201cModernization of railway line No. 4 \u2013 Central Trunk Line stage II\u201d aimed at\u00a0adapting one of the most important railway lines in\u00a0Poland to\u00a0the speed of 250 km\/h.<\/p>\n

The Communication Centre in\u00a0Kielce is a\u00a0symbolic and important infrastructural investment for the city and the region, which has contributed to\u00a0increasing the comfort of travellers. Preserving the original appearance of the station was the main task of the general contractor, who was responsible for renovating the building, while maintaining its characteristic saucer shape.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
