The jury of the Budimex Startup Challenge has selected the winners of the competition of young companies operating in\u00a0the energy, IT and environmental protection industries, which has been ongoing since November. The first place in\u00a0the Budimex Startup Challenge competition was won by\u00a0Surveily, which offers a\u00a0combined health and safety video monitoring system combined with artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n

The startup provides technology that allows you to\u00a0monitor the behavior of employees and the equipment they use in\u00a0real time to\u00a0protect employees from accidents.<\/p>\n

\n

Budimex has been supporting innovation for years. We\u00a0know that all, even the best ideas, need support and then implementation, which is the most difficult challenge for young entrepreneurs during the \u201cincubation\u201d period of young companies. At\u00a0the same time, we\u00a0pay special attention to\u00a0the protection of the environment and human health in\u00a0our operations. This competition combined both of these directions<\/em> \u2013 says Artur Pielech \u2013 Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA \u2013 President of FB Serwis.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The second place was taken by\u00a0Syntoil. The company cleans carbonizate (contaminated soot) from used tires to\u00a0the form of technical soot. Syntoil recovers valuable resources and reduces fossil fuel consumption, waste generation and carbon dioxide emissions.<\/p>\n

We\u00a0have focused on\u00a0companies from several areas<\/em> ,\u201d says Przemys\u0142aw Ku\u015bmierczyk, Director of the Innovation Office at\u00a0Budimex SA. These are energy, reducing the carbon footprint, effective waste management, circular economy technologies, short-term and long-term energy storage, generation of electricity and heat from RES, as\u00a0well as\u00a0any other ecological solutions that can bring benefits to\u00a0the construction industry,\u201d <\/em>says Przemys\u0142aw Ku\u015bmierczyk.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The third place was taken by\u00a0ReS Solution. Res Solution is a\u00a0technology company operating in\u00a0the broadly understood IoT industry. The company creates specialized IT systems based on\u00a0AI or\u00a0Machine Learning, rapid prototyping and 3D printing.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0November 2021, Budimex invited nearly 40 startups to\u00a0participate in\u00a0the competition. From among the submitted projects, the Jury selected 10 most interesting entities. The prizes for the winners have a\u00a0financial dimension \u2013 in\u00a0total, a\u00a0pool of over PLN 100,000, but also a\u00a0strategic one. Budimex will want to\u00a0establish capital cooperation with the selected finalists.<\/p>\n

The jury also decided to\u00a0award two companies: \u00a0Born Electric and Optimolight. What makes them different? Born Electric (BE) provides design, manufacturing and consulting services. It creates prototypes of electronic, electrical or\u00a0mechanical devices. The second awarded company was Optimolight. It is a\u00a0manufacturer of intelligent building lighting systems. Thanks to\u00a0autonomously controlled intelligent lighting fixtures, it optimizes the lighting of office spaces \u2013 standard and open space, production and warehouse halls, underground and above-ground car parks, exhibition areas, car showrooms and others. The use of OptIMo products allows you to\u00a0save up to\u00a070% of electricity costs, contributing to\u00a0the protection of the natural environment and reducing the so-called \u201cenergy consumption\u201d effect. light pollution.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
