At the Children\u2019s Ward of the Provincial Specialist Hospital, the 38. Parent Zone. In this edition, two spaces on two different floors of the ward have been adapted. In the renovated rooms, educational rooms have been created, in which teachers from\u00a0the Spa School Complex in Ciechocinek will conduct classes for children. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cParent Zone. Budimex for Children\u201d is a nationwide project run and fully financed by Budimex SA. Its aim is to create special places in children\u2019s wards of Polish hospitals, where young patients can spend time with their parents and discover the world through play. Providing children with such colorful and friendly spaces improves their comfort and speeds up the recovery process.<\/p>\n

In the W\u0142oc\u0142awek hospital, Budimex has arranged as many as two common rooms, located on different floors of the building. The inspiration for the arrangement of the first room was the calming greenery of the local forests, enriched with graphic motifs referring to the local fauna and flora. The d\u00e9cor of the second common room will allow the youngest to feel like they are on safari \u2013 in the space filled with warm colors, children will see images of African animals.<\/p>\n

The new day-care centres have been equipped with the needs of children of different ages in mind. They will be available to preschoolers, children attending school, as well as high school youth. The rooms will be used for school lessons for older children, as well as games and activities for the youngest.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of myself, the staff, and especially young patients and their caregivers, I would like to thank Budimex for the initiative to finance the modernisation of the two existing day-care centres within the Children\u2019s Observation Ward. After the modernization, they gained a more functional d\u00e9cor, giving our pupils a safe, friendly place to play and learn. Parents and their children will be able to spend time with their children in comfort between subsequent diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, and thus reduce the stress associated with illness and hospital stay.\u201d<\/em> \u2013drug. \u201cThe Parent Zone in W\u0142oc\u0142awek is special for us \u2013 we always try to leave something good for the local communities living in the vicinity of our contracts. We are all the more pleased to return to the place we have recently completed to support its youngest patients and enable them to recover faster. We are glad that the rooms we have created will be used for classes for school-age children and animations for the youngest patients. Thanks to lessons with teachers, students staying in the hospital will be able to be up to date with the material that is taught at school by their peers in the usual way\u201d <\/em>\u2013 says Aldona Or\u0142owski, Director of the Recruitment, Development and\u00a0Communication Office at\u00a0Budimex.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and out of concern for the safety of patients, staff and journalists, the transfer of the 38. Hospital Zone was held remotely. For the same reason, local Budimex Volunteers could not be present before the finale and provide support during the last finishing works. However, they found another way to add a brick \u2013 they equipped the 38. The Parent Zone with audio equipment that will be designed to play relaxing music for children, as well as small cars on springs for the youngest beneficiaries of the Zone.<\/p>\n
