On\u00a0January 4, 2022, \u00a0after negotiations with the Ministry of the Interior and Administration and the Border Guard, we\u00a0signed a\u00a0contract for the construction of part of the barrier on\u00a0the border between the European Union and Belarus. We\u00a0will implement the project on\u00a0market terms, being one of the few companies on\u00a0the Polish market that has the appropriate resources and experience to\u00a0perform such an order professionally and on\u00a0time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u00a0have the potential and experience to\u00a0complete such a\u00a0task on\u00a0time. In\u00a0each construction cycle, we\u00a0carry out over 200 construction contracts with a\u00a0unit value of up to\u00a0PLN 2 billion. As\u00a0a\u00a0company, we\u00a0carry out the most complex construction works and engineering structures in\u00a0Poland. In\u00a02020, we\u00a0built the largest flood control reservoir in\u00a0Poland in\u00a0Racib\u00f3rz, with an area of 26.3 km\u00b2 and a\u00a0capacity of 185 million cubic meters. We\u00a0carry out the works with Polish engineering staff (5 thousand people) and our own construction equipment (over 0.5 thousand units of equipment). We\u00a0also engage Polish subcontractors and local companies to\u00a0work throughout the country.<\/p>\n

We\u00a0are aware of the unique nature of this investment. We\u00a0are on\u00a0the list of strategic companies from the point of view of defense. Therefore, we\u00a0have a\u00a0duty to\u00a0act for the benefit of the country in\u00a0the event of special situations from the point of view of security. We\u00a0responded to\u00a0the call for the Holocaust in\u00a0the same way. construction of temporary hospitals, or\u00a0completion of road and railway works after other general contractors who have left their contracts. We\u00a0are also the largest Polish construction company and we\u00a0are obliged to\u00a0support this investment with our knowledge, competence and equipment capabilities. This investment is a\u00a0joint undertaking of the entire European Union and aims to\u00a0stabilise the situation at\u00a0the border \u2013 <\/em>says Artur Popko \u2013 President of Budimex.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
