In\u00a0March, Budimex completed the first stage of works related to\u00a0the reconstruction of the Gdynia Port railway junction. The main objective of the implemented activities is to\u00a0improve the capacity of the strategic railway junction and\u00a0increase the amount of transported cargo. Budimex has already completed over 55% of all works covered by\u00a0the contract. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Budimex is responsible for m.in under the contract. for the reconstruction of the Gdynia Port \u00a0railway station along with the modernization of connections to\u00a0the quays and accompanying infrastructure. As\u00a0part of the first stage of the investment, the general contractor completed m.in.\u00a0track, drainage, road, cubature works, related to\u00a0the overhead contact line and railway traffic control. From now on, \u00a0traffic is carried out from the new GPB LCS signal box building. The value of the works performed under this part of the contract is approx. PLN 850 million net. On\u00a0average, 480 people and 150 equipment units work on\u00a0the modernization of the Port of Gdynia station every day.<\/p>\n
