On Thursday, 21 April, at the construction site of the Pszczyna Cultural Centre, Budimex together with the investor \u2013 the Pszczyna City Hall \u2013 laid\u00a0 the cornerstone into the foundations of the building under construction. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is one of the largest local government investments in the municipality and county. Construction work began in January 2022. So far, the foundations of the new facility have already been completed.\u00a0 The installation of load-bearing walls has begun.<\/p>\n

As you can see, the work is going. This investment will resonate very much in this part of the voivodeship. It will be a large investment for residents at a high artistic level. The momentum and the front of the works show that it will not be a small cultural centre, but a real centre<\/em> \u2013 said Jakub Che\u0142stowski \u2013 Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship during <\/strong> the laying of the stone. <\/p>\n

This is a very long-awaited investment in Pszczyna. In addition to a concert hall for 500 people, we will also have a cinema here, which has not been in our city for 15 years. We have come to a difficult period of construction, due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, but thanks to the very good cooperation with Budimex, I hope that the centre will be built on time <\/em>\u2013 added Dariusz Skrobol \u2013 Mayor of the City of Pszczyna. <\/strong> <\/p>\n

We want to speed up this construction, at the request of the investor, despite the very difficult market at the moment. Each investment of this type of entertainment facilities is an engineering challenge. Ideal acoustics and stage conditions must be maintained here. It will be a very modern facility<\/em> \u2013 said Andrzej Schmalenberg \u2013 Director of the Budimex Building Construction Department.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project of the Pszczyna Cultural\u00a0Centre concerns the construction of a three-storey building with a height of 12.5\u00a0m. The cubic capacity of the building is 23580 m\u00b3, the usable area is 2544 m\u00b2, and the net area is 3345 m\u00b2. The auditorium implemented under the contract is to include 492 seats and 4 additional seats for the disabled. The next room \u2013 the cinema \u2013 will have 142 seats. In addition, there will be a separate room for dance lessons and workshop rooms for m.in. for educational purposes or to conduct artistic activities.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Currently, almost 40 construction workers and construction supervision workers work on the construction site of the Pszczyna Cultural\u00a0Centre. One of the biggest challenges in the implementation of this investment\u00a0 is to obtain the appropriate acoustics of the auditorium along with the stage technology. The contractual deadline for the completion of the works is dated June 30, 2024. \u2013 <\/em>says Marek Strauch, Contract Manager at Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

Budimex has completed dozens of similar facilities throughout Poland. In the last five years, the largest Polish construction contractor has completed similar centres in, among others: Katowice, Gorz\u00f3w Wielkopolski, Marki near Warsaw, Krak\u00f3w and Lublin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
