On\u00a022 June 2022, an agreement was signed on\u00a0the possibility of cooperation between Bouygues Travaux Publics and Budimex S.A. in\u00a0the construction of a\u00a0nuclear power plant in\u00a0Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bouygues Travaux Publics is a\u00a0company that has been cooperating with EDF for many years in\u00a0the construction of nuclear power plants around the world and in\u00a0the case of EDF\u2019s construction of the first nuclear power plant in\u00a0Poland, it will be\u00a0responsible for the implementation of the construction scope.<\/p>\n

Budimex, as\u00a0the largest construction company in\u00a0Poland, will complement Bouygues Travaux Publics in\u00a0the implementation of the construction scope. A\u00a0large machine park, an established position on\u00a0the Polish market, as\u00a0well as\u00a0competence and experience in\u00a0the implementation of the largest projects while maintaining the highest quality and health and safety standards is undoubtedly the reason why Bouygues Travaux Publics chose Budimex as\u00a0a\u00a0potential partner.<\/p>\n

The French offer to\u00a0build European Pressurized Reactors (EPR) for the Polish nuclear program has the strong support of the French government. \u201cWe want Poland to\u00a0be\u00a0part of EDF\u2019s strategy and the European supply chain,\u201d<\/em> said Vakis Ramany, Vice President of EDF during the conference.<\/p>\n

The potential nuclear power plant project will be\u00a0implemented by\u00a0the Power and Industrial Construction Division of Budimex SA, which\u00a0 has completed several dozen energy investments in\u00a0Poland and Lithuania. The largest of them was the construction of a\u00a0new power\u00a0 unit at\u00a0the Tur\u00f3w Power Plant with an electrical capacity of 496 MW for the PGE Group, completed in\u00a02021. The same Division has also completed selected sections of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline for Gaz System.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
