\n On 3 October, the Pomeranian Voivode Dariusz Drelich handed over to the investor the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways Branch in Gda\u0144sk ZRiD (Road Investment Permit), enabling the start of the Design and Build formula of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass (OMT). The decision was received by\u00a0 Kinga Gierlach \u2013 Director of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Gda\u0144sk in the presence of Marcin Hora\u0142a \u2013 Secretary of State in the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Development.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

Obtaining the ZRID is a milestone after the completion of the design work. The legally valid ZRID allows us to start work in its full scope. Preparatory works in the field of demolition of buildings, tree felling and the first earthworks will begin in October<\/em> \u2013 says Przemys\u0142aw Czaja, Budimex Contract Director. At the moment, archaeological work, sapper reconnaissance and environmental protection work is underway. In November, we will start the first geotechnical works related to the foundation of engineering structures. <\/em>We want to complete as much work as possible before winter<\/em> ,\u201d adds Przemys\u0142aw Czaja.<\/p>\n

The construction of the OMT was divided into two parts. The first task carried out by Budimex is the section Chwaszczyno junction (without the junction) \u2013 \u017bukowo junction (without the junction) with a length of 16.3 kilometres.<\/p>\n

By 2025, a dual carriageway expressway will be built, with two lanes in each direction and\u00a0 with a reserve for the third lane, the \u201cMiszewo\u201d and \u201cChwaszczyno\u201d road junctions, the Miszewo road circuit, as well as m.in. 25 engineering structures. The contract is being implemented by Budimex in the \u201cDesign and Build\u201d formula<\/p>\n

Budimex has signed a contract with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Gda\u0144sk Branch, for the construction of another section of the S6 expressway as part of the project entitled: \u201cConstruction of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass in April 2021. The contract, worth over PLN 581 million net, will be completed by the general contractor within 38 months of signing the contract, excluding winter periods, i.e. by March 2025.<\/p>\n

The contract was signed on the S6 Luzino-Szemud section implemented by Budimex, which is a continuation of the planned Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass. As part of the investment, Budimex will be responsible for the implementation of approx. 16.3 km of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass, which is part of the S6 expressway.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, the OMT will be about 39 km long and will enable efficient passage from the A1 and S7 motorways to the west and north of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, leading transit traffic to further sections of the S6 route towards L\u0119bork, S\u0142upsk and Koszalin. The bypass under construction will also be of strategic importance for transport within \u017bukowo and Chwaszczyna and will relieve traffic on the existing S6 expressway of the Tri-City Bypass.<\/p>\n

OMT is another infrastructure investment in Budimex\u2019s portfolio. Currently, the company is implementing m.in. construction of the S61 expressway (on the sections: Suwa\u0142ki \u2013 Budzisko with the Szypliszki bypass, Stawiski-Szczuczyn, Wysokie \u2013 Raczki) and the S19 expressway on the section from the Bia\u0142ystok Zach\u00f3d junction (without the junction) to the Bia\u0142ystok Ksi\u0119\u017cyno junction, S11 on the section Koszalin \u2013 Zegrze Pomorskie, S5 Ornowo \u2013 Wirwajdy in the province of Szczecin.
