Budimex has commissioned the six-kilometre Wa\u0142brzych bypass. The bypass runs in a mountainous area, the so-called Wa\u0142brzyska Mountains approx. 500 m above sea level and allows you to bypass the city center in the wake of the national road No. 35 (Polish border \u2013 Wroc\u0142aw). The investors are: the City of Wa\u0142brzych and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Branch in Wroc\u0142aw. The investment is co-financed by the European Union.<\/p>\n

The Wa\u0142brzych bypass is a dual carriageway road with three communication junctions: Rondo Niepodleg\u0142o\u015bci; \u017beromskiego junction; Reja junction. 3 flyovers were built on the route: No. 5 (roundabout), viaduct No. 6 (\u017beromskiego Street), viaduct No. 7 (Reja Street). The longest of the buildings is 180 meters long. Budimex has also constructed an underground passage along ul. \u017beromski. A footbridge was built over the bypass in the area of Dr. Oczki and St. Kinga and three frame culverts on the Szczawnik stream.<\/p>\n

The construction was very demanding for the general contractor. Under the road under construction, there is an uninventoried post-mining infrastructure \u2013 the Gustaw shaft, the Lisia Adit. They required design changes and many additional works to strengthen and secure the new bypass<\/em> \u2013 says Cezary \u0141ysenko \u2013 Director of the Infrastructure Construction Division at Budimex.<\/p>\n

The following were used for the construction: 750 thousand. tons on embankments, 80 thousand. tons of asphalt mix, over 2 thousand. tons of \u00a0reinforcing steel and over 19 thousand. cubic meters of concrete. The task also included the reconstruction of 16 existing streets. <\/p>\n

We also discovered the remains of historical urban and industrial infrastructure \u2013 tracks, old road ducts, foundations and power poles supplying non-existent industrial plants \u2013 These circumstances had the greatest impact on the fact that the construction took a year longer than planned. Despite this, we completed the works in the final contract term, i.e. before November 21 \u2013 <\/em>adds Cezary \u0141ysenko.<\/p>\n

Construction began in April 2019. The cost of the investment amounted to: PLN 397 million net.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
