The biggest threat to\u00a0the Polish economy is: the unavailability of some funds from the European Union and inflation \u2013 said Artur Popko \u2013 during the inaugural panel of the EEC Trends conference.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The President of Budimex, together with Zbigniew Jakubas (Multico), Brunon Bartkiewicz (ING Bank \u015al\u0105ski SA), Pawe\u0142 Borys (Polish Development Fund), Ma\u0142gorzata Starczewska-Krzysztoszek (University of Warsaw) and Maciej Zieli\u0144ski (Siemens Polska), discussed macroeconomic trends in\u00a0the global and Polish economy.<\/p>\n

But at\u00a0the same time, there are many global processes that are an opportunity for the Polish construction industry. We\u00a0are facing many opportunities. One of them is the transfer of some investments by\u00a0global corporations from China to\u00a0Europe this m.in Polish, i.e. the so-called \u201cBrexit\u201d. reshoring<\/em> \u2013 emphasized Artur Popko.<\/p>\n

The President of Budimex pointed out that in\u00a0order to\u00a0meet EU\u00a0requirements such as\u00a0the \u201cFit for 55\u201d climate package, it is necessary to\u00a0involve private companies to\u00a0invest in\u00a0the energy sector \u2013 in\u00a0wind and photovoltaic farms on\u00a0a\u00a0larger scale than at\u00a0present.<\/p>\n

The panelists also devoted a\u00a0lot of time to\u00a0the possibilities of Ukraine\u2019s development after the end of the war. Artur Popko emphasized the need to\u00a0start design work in\u00a0our eastern neighbor now.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0a\u00a0government, we\u00a0should create a\u00a0fund for designing investments for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Designing costs 2-3 percent. of the entire investment. Having ready-made projects, we\u00a0will be\u00a0a\u00a0natural participant in\u00a0the construction process in\u00a0Ukraine. Without it, we\u00a0can be\u00a0left out<\/em> \u2013 said the President of Budimex.<\/p>\n

Budimex was a\u00a0partner of the EEC Trends conference. The conference gathers over 1300 representatives of the government, private business and financial and scientific institutions. The media patron of the event was Wirtualny Nowy Przemys\u0142.<\/p>\n
