On 2 March 2023, as part of the activities addressed to high school students, Budimex signed a\u00a0cooperation agreement with the Railway Technical School in Warsaw. It is to include joint activities in the\u00a0field of science and technology and\u00a0 training projects \u00a0. At the same time, the largest Polish construction company will open up to the graduates of the Technical School and create new professional opportunities for them. <\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a lot to fight for. By 2030, the modernization and construction of new railway infrastructure will reach the value of PLN 100 billion! In the coming years, several dozen of the best graduates and students of the school will go on apprenticeships.<\/p>\n

The cooperation between Budimex as a Substantive Partner and the Railway Technical School in Warsaw is primarily aimed at\u00a0mutual support\u00a0in areas\u00a0such as\u00a0the organisation and\u00a0participation in conferences and scientific and technical lectures, as well\u00a0as the organisation of Open Days\u00a0on selected investments carried out by the general contractor.<\/p>\n

This is part of a larger program \u201cLearn and build practice\u201d. As part of it, Budimex has started close cooperation with dozens of technicians throughout Poland. As part of the cooperation, technical school students will improve their knowledge based on cooperation with experienced engineers of various specialisations and will be able to gain an internship on over 200 construction sites carried out by Budimex.<\/p>\n

Budimex has been actively involved in the development of young people for many years through\u00a0individual dedicated projects. In order to learn about the future plans of students\u00a0of construction technicians and to develop their competences, Budimex has also established cooperation with the Zwolnieni z Teorii Foundation. Together, they toured schools all over the country and created their own program \u201cPractice that will stay with\u00a0you\u201d. Among other activities of the company, the Budimex Startup Challenge competition, addressed to innovative enterprises and young technology companies offering products, services and solutions in the field of energy, renewable energy sources and\u00a0green technologies in construction, also turned out to be a great success. Budimex has also established cooperation with students of a high school in Krak\u00f3w who won the competition of the\u00a0European Space Agency.<\/p>\n

The company has also been supporting the development of students in the industry for several years, organizing m.in for them. paid internships as part of the Budimex Academy project. On 1 March, the next, refreshed edition of the internship programme for 2023 under the slogan \u201cPractice is the measure of success\u201d was inaugurated. As\u00a0every\u00a0year, the general contractor has prepared 250 places for\u00a0students from\u00a0all over Polish. In addition to construction students, the program is also aimed at\u00a0people looking for internships m.in. in the area of HR, finance or IT.<\/p>\n

Prospects for development in the railway sector<\/strong><\/p>\n

Railway investments are one of the key elements of the development of Polish infrastructure. The basic investment programme on the railway market \u2013 the National Railway Programme (KPK) is updated and extended annually (most recently in December 2022). Currently, work is underway to update the NCP in the scope of the 2021-2027 perspective, which includes planned projects until 2030. The planned investments are worth over PLN 100 billion. The target sources of financing are\u00a0the Cohesion Fund, the CEF programme and the National Recovery Programme (NRP). According to the plan, PLN 11 billion for NRP projects is to be transferred to the National Operational Programme. While waiting for EU funds, it is likely that the funds will be pre-financed by\u00a0PFR. The Railway+ programme, detailed until 2029, confirms that railway investments are dependent on EU investments. An additional programme where\u00a0Budimex is after prequalification is Rail Baltica in Latvia.<\/p>\n

Currently, one of the biggest challenges for the railway sector is the large generation gap in professions related to m.in. traffic safety, which is also answered by Budimex\u2019s involvement in cooperation with the Railway Technical School in Warsaw.<\/p>\n

Budimex is one of the\u00a0leaders in railway construction in\u00a0Poland. The company is currently implementing contracts such as m.in. the new Warszawa Zachodnia station, which is one of the\u00a0largest investments of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA. The general contractor is also responsible for the construction of the Port of Gdynia railway station,\u00a0the E\u0142k station and the Czechowice-Dziedzice station. In\u00a0the last two years, Budimex has also completed the modernisation of the Warsaw-Lublin railway line, the E59 Rokietnica \u2013 Wronki section and\u00a0the E30 Trzebinia \u2013 Krzeszowice section of the railway line.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
