On\u00a011 May 2023, Budimex signed a\u00a0contract with PKP PLK for the implementation of the first stage of the modernisation and construction of the new Pod\u0142\u0119\u017ce-Piekie\u0142ko railway line in\u00a0Podhale. The net value of the contract is PLN 366,057,633.33.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Budimex will thoroughly modernise a\u00a06-kilometre section of railway line No. 104 Chab\u00f3wka \u2013 Nowy S\u0105cz on\u00a0the section 104 Chab\u00f3wka \u2013 Nowy S\u0105cz. A1 from km 0+576 (km 0+576) to\u00a0km 6+100 (km istn.6+109) along with the technical infrastructure along the railway line No. 104 from the Chab\u00f3wka station to\u00a0the Rabka Zaryte station. Works will also be\u00a0carried out along the railway line No. 98 Sucha Beskidzka \u2013 Chab\u00f3wka on\u00a0the section No. from km istn. 33+830 to\u00a0km istn. 35+313 and at\u00a0the Chab\u00f3wka station.<\/p>\n

The signing took place at\u00a0the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland with the participation of Andrzej Adamczyk \u2013 Minister of Infrastructure and Ireneusz Merchel \u2013 President of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe.<\/p>\n

Budimex will start preparatory works for construction in\u00a0accordance with the contract immediately after signing. This reconstruction is very demanding in\u00a0terms of deadlines and characteristics of the mountainous areas in\u00a0which the works will be\u00a0carried out.\u00a0 We\u00a0have 24 months to\u00a0complete the project, but we\u00a0have proven with the investments already completed for PKP PLK and those currently being carried out that we\u00a0will meet any requirements<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 said Artur Popko \u2013 President of the Management Board of Budimex during the signing of the contract.<\/p>\n

The contract was signed on\u00a0the part of Budimex by\u00a0Maciej Olek \u2013 Member of the Management Board of Budimex. The warranty period for the work performed will be\u00a06 years. As\u00a0the current railway line is single-track on\u00a0this section, train traffic on\u00a0this section will be\u00a0suspended during the works. The modernization will also include the construction of a\u00a0second track. \u00a0In\u00a0addition to\u00a0tracks, engineering structures and railway traffic control equipment, stations and stops will be\u00a0rebuilt. The new platforms will be\u00a0m.in.\u00a0at\u00a0the Rabka Zaryte station and at\u00a0the Rabka Zdr\u00f3j stop. The new facilities will be\u00a0adapted to\u00a0the needs of people with reduced mobility. At\u00a0the Rabka Zaryte station, an underground passage with an elevator is also planned, which will increase accessibility to\u00a0the railway.<\/p>\n

The line is also a\u00a0part of the complementary TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network) network Modernized railway line 104 Chab\u00f3wka \u2013 Nowy S\u0105cz, designed railway line No. 622 podg. Pod\u0142\u0119\u017ce R401 \u2013 Tymbark and railway line No. 623 podg. Fornale \u2013 Szczyrzyc are a\u00a0fragment of spoke 7.2.1 of the railway component of the task related to\u00a0accessibility to\u00a0the Central Communication Port. It is also planned to\u00a0include the newly designed railway line No. 622 and a\u00a0fragment of the railway line No. 104 Tymbark \u2013 Nowy S\u0105cz in\u00a0the European Rail Freight Transport Corridor No. 11 \u201cAmber\u201d (RFC 11).<\/p>\n

Budimex has implemented m.in under the previous EU\u00a0perspective. such railway investments as: railway connection in\u00a0Krak\u00f3w, LCS Olszamowice, LK7 on\u00a0the Otwock \u2013 Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w section,\u00a0 LCS Idzikowice, E30 Trzebinia \u2013 Krzeszowice or\u00a0E59 Rokietnica-Wronki.\u00a0 Currently, Budimex is implementing railway contracts with a\u00a0total value of PLN 2.4 billion, including: the Warszawa Zachodnia station, the E\u0142k station, the Czechowice-Dziedzice railway junction and the Port of Gdynia.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
