\u201cPractice that will stay with you\u201d is Budimex\u2019s original initiative, created in\u00a0cooperation with the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation. As\u00a0part of the activities related to\u00a0the program, students of construction technicians from all over Polish developed CSR projects with the support of employees of the leader of the Polish construction industry. During the Grand Finale, which took place in\u00a0Warsaw\u2019s S\u0142u\u017cewiec district, experts m.in.\u00a0On\u00a0behalf of the general contractor, they awarded the best projects. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Budimex, in\u00a0cooperation with the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation, went on\u00a0a\u00a0tour of schools across the country, thus visiting students from 127 technical schools on-site and 70 remotely. Thanks to\u00a0the campaign, which has been ongoing since 2022, as\u00a0many as\u00a034 teams have started working on\u00a0CSR projects. Students participating in\u00a0the project could count on\u00a0substantive support from Budimex employees \u00a0. Specialists answered\u00a0the questions of the young people on\u00a0an ongoing basis through a\u00a0dedicated communication channel, and a\u00a0Q&A session was also organized in\u00a0January.<\/p>\n

Four Budimex SA experts present at\u00a0the\u00a0Grand Finale of the programme, including m.in, took part in\u00a0the evaluation of the projects. Anna Kary\u015b \u2013 Sosi\u0144ska, Member of the Management Board, Director of the Human Resources Management Division. \u201cBudimex has been involved in\u00a0supporting the education of Polish youth for years. Together with the Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation, we\u00a0reached over 12 thousand students, to\u00a0whom we\u00a0introduced our company and construction through lectures with representatives of our business and conducting various webinars<\/em> \u2013 says Anna Kary\u015b-Sosi\u0144ska.<\/p>\n

The selection of the winners was not easy, and the level of commitment, ingenuity and willingness to\u00a0help young people were very impressive. The works were evaluated on\u00a0the basis of several criteria \u2013 among them were originality and innovation, understanding the needs of the local community, strategic approach to\u00a0the problem and promotion in\u00a0social media channels. \u2013 Out of all the projects, we\u00a0have chosen three that have gained our greatest recognition. As\u00a0part of the appreciation of these teams, we\u00a0decided to\u00a0fund three prizes. The main prize will be\u00a0the renovation of a\u00a0selected technical school room<\/em> \u2013 adds Anna Kary\u015b-Sosi\u0144ska.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0addition to\u00a0renovating a\u00a0selected classroom for the winners, Budimex funded the necessary equipment for the other two teams \u00a0. To\u00a0appreciate the individual commitment of each person, the general contractor also awarded material prizes.<\/p>\n

Winning projects:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

3rd place and a\u00a0prize of PLN 10,000\u00a0went to\u00a0the ER\u00a0English project.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project was attended by\u00a029 volunteers who conducted English classes in\u00a0social institutions in\u00a0G\u0142og\u00f3w. Over 800 people took advantage of the opportunity to\u00a0learn this language!<\/p>\n

2nd place and a\u00a0prize of 15,000\u00a0was won by\u00a0the development project Sure Choices.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The aim of this initiative was to\u00a0help primary school students choose the right secondary school and the associated future career. A\u00a0group of students from Bielsko-Bia\u0142a conducted related lectures for over 1000\u00a0eighth-graders, and also created a\u00a0dedicated website where you can find a\u00a0lot of useful information needed when choosing a\u00a0school. The site has been visited by\u00a0over 2000 people.<\/p>\n

The main prize, i.e. 50,000\u00a0for the renovation of the hall, was awarded to\u00a0the UBR project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project proved that great social initiatives can be\u00a0implemented through construction activities. A\u00a0group of students from the technical school in\u00a0Be\u0142chat\u00f3w decided to\u00a0use the construction skills acquired at\u00a0school and\u00a0renovated an apartment for a\u00a0family from Ukraine. All the work was done by\u00a0the students themselves, from acquiring sponsors, purchasing materials, \u00a0to\u00a0performing renovation works.<\/p>\n

Honorable mentions and material prizes were awarded to\u00a0the authors of the project Accept yourself! <\/strong><\/p>\n

#akcjaakceptacja aims to\u00a0show the problem of lack of self-acceptance and self-confidence, depression, and hate, which young people face at\u00a0every step today.<\/p>\n

Budimex has been supporting young people on\u00a0their career path for a\u00a0long time. The Budimex Startup Challenge, addressed to\u00a0innovative enterprises and young technology companies offering products, services and\u00a0solutions in\u00a0the field of energy, renewable energy sources and green technologies in\u00a0construction, turned out to\u00a0be\u00a0a\u00a0great success. Budimex has also established cooperation with students of the Krak\u00f3w high school who won the European Space Agency competition. In\u00a0addition, the internship program has been underway for many years, thanks to\u00a0which over 1400 people have already gained their first professional experience. \u2013 This year, we\u00a0are launching an internship program for technical school students. In\u00a0the long term, we\u00a0promote our internship program, where students thinking about a\u00a0career in\u00a0construction can join us for\u00a0student internships. We\u00a0recruit apprentices for the HR department, Sales Offices, Technical Offices and every area related to\u00a0construction. The slogan of our internship program is \u201cPractice is the measure of success\u201d<\/em> \u2013 says Jakub Kulesza, Specialist for Building the Employer Image at\u00a0Budimex.<\/p>\n

Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii was established in\u00a02013 as\u00a0a\u00a0supplement to\u00a0school education with\u00a0practical skills. Young people, working on\u00a0their social project, develop competences such as: empathy, a\u00a0sense of agency, creativity, teamwork, communication and problem solving. In\u00a0addition, since 2019, a\u00a0teacher platform has been in\u00a0operation, thanks to\u00a0which teachers of Zwolnieni z\u00a0Teorii can support young people in\u00a0the project process.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
