On\u00a0Monday, May 15, 2023, Mostostal Krak\u00f3w \u00a0signed a\u00a0contract for the purchase of 100 percent. shares of PPUH Konstalex. Thus, the company from the Budimex Group increased its production capacity to\u00a017,000\u00a0tonnes of steel structures per year. This volume places the company in\u00a0the position of the leader of the domestic steel market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The sale document was signed by\u00a0the President of the Management Board of Mostostal Krak\u00f3w \u2013 Jacek Lech, Member of the Management Board of the company \u2013 Jakub Tomaszewski and Bo\u017cena Zbroja and Grzegorz Zbroja \u2013 the previous owners of Konstalex.<\/p>\n

The decision to\u00a0acquire a\u00a0company specializing in\u00a0the field of heavy structures is in\u00a0line with the current development strategy of Mostostal Krak\u00f3w. The Company\u2019s goal is to\u00a0increase its production potential and supplement its offer with new types of steel structures. The acquisition of Konstalex\u2019s infrastructure and contracts is also an important step towards building the company\u2019s business independence and market position.<\/p>\n

\u201d I\u00a0think I\u00a0can say that as\u00a0a\u00a0manufacturer of steel structures we\u00a0are becoming a\u00a0leader in\u00a0Poland,\u201d <\/em>says Jacek Lech, President of Mostostal Krak\u00f3w. \u2013 Looking at\u00a0the completed projects, we\u00a0can see how many joint construction contracts we\u00a0have had with Konstalex over time. We\u00a0believe that this transaction will allow us to\u00a0operate more efficiently and comprehensively. Greater flexibility and production potential also means price stability and risk mitigation \u2013 to\u00a0the benefit of both us and our customers. The combined forces and experience of Mostostal Krak\u00f3w and Konstalex give us opportunities that we\u00a0have not had so far, due to\u00a0m.in.\u00a0formal or\u00a0logistical constraints <\/em>\u2013 adds President Jacek Lech.<\/p>\n

Diversification of the business portfolio is an approach implemented throughout the Budimex Group. In\u00a0recent months, one of the largest construction groups in\u00a0Poland has been increasing its involvement in\u00a0new areas, such as\u00a0renewable energy sources or\u00a0low-emission transport. It is also successively marking its presence on\u00a0foreign markets \u2013 in\u00a0Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Investments in\u00a0production capacity are another important element of emphasising Budimex\u2019s role as\u00a0a\u00a0company providing comprehensive solutions in\u00a0the construction industry.<\/p>\n

\u2013 We\u00a0operate in\u00a0difficult and volatile market conditions, which motivates us to\u00a0look for a\u00a0business model that guarantees stability and development opportunities. Steel structures are an indispensable part of many of our m.in projects. in\u00a0road or\u00a0railway construction. With our own comprehensive warehouse and production facilities, we\u00a0are able to\u00a0optimize costs and respond to\u00a0possible disruptions in\u00a0supply chains. In\u00a0this way, we\u00a0create a\u00a0significant advantage over our competitors. This is a\u00a0solid foundation for the Budimex Group to\u00a0take on\u00a0further ambitious challenges <\/em>\u2013 says Artur Popko, President of the Management Board of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0the coming weeks, it is planned to\u00a0appoint a\u00a0new Management Board of PPUH Konstalex. The company continues its production activities and the execution of orders. It will operate under the current name and with an unchanged business profile.<\/p>\n

PPUH Konstalex has been operating on\u00a0the market since 1993. It manufactures large-size and steel structures. The production plant has a\u00a0production and storage area of more than 23,000 m\u00b2. Konstalex specializes in\u00a0projects for the energy industry and bridge structures.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
