Budimex \u2013 the general contractor for the construction of the tram route from \u015ar\u00f3dmie\u015bcie to\u00a0Wilan\u00f3w in\u00a0Warsaw \u2013 is implementing the next stage of the Przystanek Ziele\u0144 campaign, under which 400 trees will be\u00a0added along the tram line to\u00a0Wilan\u00f3w on\u00a0the company\u2019s initiative. \u00a0The campaign is addressed to\u00a0communities and housing cooperatives located in\u00a0the districts of Mokot\u00f3w and Wilan\u00f3w. During the previous stage of the campaign, applications were received from 25 communities, and the total number of trees requested by\u00a0Budimex exceeded 450. During the second stage of the campaign, applications are collected until September 22, and plantings will be\u00a0made in\u00a0October. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe good reception of the first stage of the campaign makes us optimistic about its next stage, especially since there is a\u00a0lot of commitment on\u00a0the part of housing communities and cooperatives. We\u00a0are glad that we\u00a0can enable them to\u00a0realize their dream of greening their space. As\u00a0a\u00a0result of our activities and compensatory plantings, more than 1000 trees will be\u00a0planted along the tram line to\u00a0Wilan\u00f3w, which will certainly have a\u00a0positive impact on\u00a0the experience of people using both the tram itself and the residents of the areas adjacent to\u00a0the route. We\u00a0want both of these groups to\u00a0be\u00a0direct beneficiaries of this largest tram investment in\u00a0the capital, not only in\u00a0terms of communication, although this is of course a\u00a0priority\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 \u2013 says Martyna Wr\u00f3bel, Communications Director at\u00a0Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

Przystanek Ziele\u0144 is an action addressed directly to\u00a0communities and housing cooperatives located in\u00a0the Mokot\u00f3w and Wilan\u00f3w districts (in\u00a0the vicinity of the construction of the Tram to\u00a0Wilan\u00f3w), which have land on\u00a0which new trees can be\u00a0planted and have resources that allow them to\u00a0take care of the planted plants indefinitely. To\u00a0register a\u00a0community or\u00a0cooperatives for the action, just fill in\u00a0the application form on\u00a0the website www.przystanekzielen.waw.pl<\/a> Applications for the 2nd edition of the campaign can be\u00a0submitted until September 22, 2023. The third and final stage of the campaign, during which 140 trees will be\u00a0planted, is scheduled for spring 2024.<\/p>\n

Housing communities and cooperatives must have land on\u00a0which trees can be\u00a0planted and located in\u00a0the vicinity of the construction of the Tram to\u00a0Wilan\u00f3w. They must also have resources that allow them to\u00a0take care of the planted trees indefinitely.<\/p>\n

The tram to\u00a0Wilan\u00f3w, which is the largest tram investment in\u00a0Warsaw, will noticeably improve the quality of life of many Warsaw residents \u2013 thanks to\u00a0it, Wilan\u00f3w residents will be\u00a0able to\u00a0get to\u00a0the city centre in\u00a0less than 30 minutes during rush hours! Budimex, the largest Polish general construction contractor, has been implementing the investment since September 2022 for the investor Tramwaje Warszawskie.<\/p>\n
