Budimex completed the construction of a\u00a016.8-kilometre section of the expressway between Koszalin and Zegrze Pomorskie on\u00a0time. The section will connect \u00a0the S-11 route running from Upper Silesia with the S6, i.e. the road from Szczecin to\u00a0the Tri-City. As\u00a0part of the investment, the general contractor built a\u00a0two-lane roadway and numerous engineering structures \u2013 bridges, viaducts and flyovers. Infrastructure for environmental protection was also created, including animal crossings. The section was made in\u00a0the design and build system. The contract value amounted to\u00a0PLN 471 million net.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an extremely joyful day when we\u00a0can open such a\u00a0long section from Koszalin to\u00a0Boblice. This great way cooperates with smaller ones, with the improvement of the quality of life. The S-11 is a\u00a0way of life for Central Pomerania, for northern Wielkopolska. A\u00a0great way to\u00a0create more jobs, better development of these lands, both residents and tourists will simply be\u00a0able to\u00a0enjoy a\u00a0better life\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>\u2013 said Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

\u200e<\/em>\u201cWe\u00a0are handing over three sections on\u00a0which part of the project\u2019s contractors, designers, all those who organized the construction have spent part of their lives, but thanks to\u00a0this we\u00a0provide Polish drivers with a\u00a0safe and comfortable road. I\u00a0thank the contractors, I\u00a0thank the supervision, I\u00a0thank the cooperators of the general contractors. It is important to\u00a0know that in\u00a0Poland, investments are carried out by\u00a0companies that have already taken root here\u201d \u2013 <\/em>said Andrzej Adamczyk, Minister of Infrastructure. \u200e<\/strong><\/p>\n

The S-11 section completed by\u00a0Budimex starts from the north at\u00a0the Koszalin Zach\u00f3d junction and ends in\u00a0the south at\u00a0the Zegrze Pomorskie junction and is part of a\u00a040-kilometre expressway running from Koszalin to\u00a0Bobolice. The investment was completed within 27 months from the start of the works.<\/p>\n

The S-11 expressway is one of the most important investments in\u00a0Poland. The 550-kilometre route running through the Silesian, Opole, Greater Poland and \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Voivodeships will not only shorten but also improve the safety of travelling to\u00a0the Tri-City and Szczecin as\u00a0well as\u00a0holiday resorts on\u00a0the central Baltic coast. The S-11 is also an important investment from the point of view of the economy \u2013 connecting the Upper Silesian Industrial Region with the ports of the Upper Silesian Industrial Region. West Pomeranian Voivodeship will have a\u00a0positive impact on\u00a0the economic activation of this part of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs\u00a0a\u00a0general contractor, for several decades we\u00a0have been involved in\u00a0key investments that have changed the image of Polish infrastructure. We\u00a0are proud that the S-11 route, which is also crucial for the region, is being built with our participation. Realizing how important its role is in\u00a0the bloodstream of the Polish economy, we\u00a0made every effort to\u00a0complete the work on\u00a0time and we\u00a0succeeded\u201d \u2013<\/em> says Cezary \u0141ysenko, Director of Infrastructure Construction at\u00a0Budimex S.A.<\/p>\n

\u201cInfrastructure investments, due to\u00a0their scale and significance, have their own specific requirements. We\u00a0approach each of them with due diligence, also at\u00a0the stage of assembling the team. The construction and contract team that carried out this task is one of the most experienced in\u00a0our company in\u00a0the implementation of difficult road contracts\u201d<\/em> \u2013 adds Robert Jastrz\u0119bski, Contract Director at\u00a0Budimex S.A.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the contract for the construction of a\u00a0section of the S-11 expressway between Koszalin and Zegrze Pomorskie, Budimex has completed a\u00a0dual carriageway road with a\u00a0reserve of space for the third lane, engineering structures (viaducts, bridges and flyovers), access roads for local traffic, service areas, and drainage systems. Public roads, electricity and water supply networks were also rebuilt.<\/p>\n

Budimex is constructing every fourth kilometre of expressways and motorways in\u00a0Poland. 80% of the investments entrusted to\u00a0the company are handed over ahead of time. In\u00a0August this year. the construction of the 4-kilometre Szczecin bypass was completed 7 months ahead of schedule. Currently, Budimex is implementing m.in.\u00a0the construction of the longest section of the S6 route in\u00a0the Pomeranian Voivodeship, between Le\u015bnice and Bo\u017cepole Wielkie, 6 road investments worth PLN 148 million in\u00a0Katowice and the completion of works on\u00a0the Sztabin bypass, along national road No. 8.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
