\n Budimex has started work on\u00a0the project to\u00a0extend the D1 Bratislava \u2013 Triblavina road in\u00a0Slovakia. The subject of the project is the construction of a\u00a0strategic intersection of two motorways, which will significantly contribute to\u00a0the improvement of the transport situation in\u00a0the capital of the country \u2013 Bratislava.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The section implemented by\u00a0Budimex is 3.6 km long and will include the widening and reconstruction of the motorway surface, the construction of 18 bridges, as\u00a0well as\u00a0the addition of an information system and noise barriers. In\u00a0total, the general contractor will construct 128 construction facilities. A\u00a0challenging aspect of the project will be\u00a0the maintenance of construction work on\u00a0the D1 motorway on\u00a0the outskirts of Bratislava.<\/p>\n

The construction consists of two key milestones. The first is the construction of bypasses, which will redirect traffic from the D1 motorway and connect the two branches of the intersection for the possibility of building the necessary bridges at\u00a0the D1\/D4 intersection. The second milestone is the connection of the highways in\u00a0the direction of Trnava \u2013 Jarovce. The total construction time is estimated at\u00a01100 days.<\/p>\n

\u2013 On\u00a0the branches of the intersection of the D1 and D4 motorways, embankments and reinforcements under the retaining walls are being carried out, as\u00a0well as\u00a0removal of humus or\u00a0removal of demolition material, as\u00a0well as\u00a0rearmament of engineering networks. The reconstruction of the hydromelioration system is also underway. The demolition works have already been partially completed at\u00a0the construction site, and the archaeological research is nearing completion,\u201d says Igor Sedl\u00e1\u010dek, Contract Director of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

Currently, experts are investigating several theories related to\u00a0archaeological excavations \u2013 the discoveries so far indicate that a\u00a0prehistoric Celtic settlement existed in\u00a0these places.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0the summer of 2022. Budimex won the tender for the construction of the D1 Bratislava-Triblavina motorway worth EUR 110.85 million, and at\u00a0the end of the year it signed a\u00a0contract with the Slovak contracting authority. This is the first contract the company has won since entering the Slovak market in\u00a02021.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
