Budimex, a\u00a0leader on\u00a0the Polish market of general contractors, has established scientific and technical cooperation with the Cracow University of Economics. This is the 41st university or\u00a0technical school and the third in\u00a0Krak\u00f3w with which Budimex has started long-term cooperation over the last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the contract directly signed on\u00a04 January by\u00a0Artur Popko\u00a0 , President of Budimex and Prof.\u00a0Stanis\u0142aw Mazur \u2013 Rector of the University of Economics in\u00a0Krakow, the parties undertook to\u00a0cooperate in\u00a0the field of educational and training projects, and Budimex will share its experience with students and conduct internships for them. An important element of the agreement is the joint conduct of research on\u00a0the development of innovative solutions for the construction industry. Earlier, in\u00a0the capital of Ma\u0142opolska, Budimex also established similar cooperation with the Chemobudowa Krak\u00f3w Construction School Complex and the Chemobudowa Krak\u00f3w School No. 1. st. Rafa\u0142 Kalinowski.<\/p>\n

Budimex regularly supports the development of young staff for the industry by\u00a0organising m.in.\u00a0paid internships for both students and high school students. Only in\u00a0the last year, the company established cooperation with the Railway Technical School in\u00a0Warsaw, the Geodetic and Road School Complex in\u00a0Pozna\u0144 and accepted over 400 students and pupils for paid internships as\u00a0part of the Budimex Academy programme.<\/p>\n

The Budimex Academy is a\u00a0a\u00a0program under which students of engineering faculties, but also those who want to\u00a0deal with HR, finance or\u00a0IT, take part in\u00a0paid internships. They last from a\u00a0month to\u00a0six months, and during them young people learn about the specifics of working in\u00a0the construction industry. Since the beginning of the program, more than 3,000\u00a0students and students of universities and technical schools have benefited from it. One in\u00a0three of them has started working at\u00a0Budimex.<\/p>\n

\u201cSigning the agreement with the Cracow University of Economics not only opens up a\u00a0chance for young people to\u00a0gain practical experience. As\u00a0part of the cooperation, Budimex specialists will conduct classes, training, courses and postgraduate studies. An important part of the cooperation established today will be\u00a0the exchange of experience between EU\u00a0lecturers and our staff during conferences, symposia and scientific and technical seminars \u2013<\/em> says Artur Popko, President of Budimex.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The parties to\u00a0the agreement also announced joint scientific and research work in\u00a0specially created Research Centres.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe internship program that will be\u00a0introduced thanks to\u00a0this cooperation is aimed at\u00a0providing students with practical knowledge and experience in\u00a0the field of construction economics, construction investment finance, value engineering, geodesy, construction and modern design. This initiative will enable young people to\u00a0better understand and prepare for a\u00a0career in\u00a0these fast-growing fields<\/em> \u2013 adds Artur Popko, President of Budimex.<\/p>\n

Budimex, as\u00a0an industry leader and the largest construction group in\u00a0Poland, focuses on\u00a0innovation. At\u00a0the end of 2023, tests of a\u00a0robot supporting workers on\u00a0construction sites began at\u00a0the construction site of the Military Clinical Hospital in\u00a0Krakow. The project was created as\u00a0part of an international research project carried out with partners from Italy, Austria and Germany. Another example of Budimex\u2019s successful innovation activities is the creation of an innovative technology for mineral and asphalt mixtures. The aim of this project, carried out by\u00a0the Budimex Innovation Office, was to\u00a0create a\u00a0solution that would indicate the directions of development in\u00a0the field of building materials and recycling. The solution was appreciated by\u00a0the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, which awarded the project in\u00a0a\u00a0competition organized by\u00a0it. In\u00a0the opinion of the jury, the actions taken by\u00a0Budimex are in\u00a0line with the idea of cooperation within supply chains, build the company\u2019s efficiency based on\u00a0environmental, social and organisational principles, and contribute to\u00a0the development of cooperation with stakeholders, as\u00a0well as\u00a0building the resilience of enterprises to\u00a0the crisis.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
