Budimex has built a\u00a0modern transport hub in\u00a0Lublin. The new station is a\u00a0three-storey building with a\u00a0usable area of over 18 thousand. m2 with a\u00a0\u201cPark & Ride\u201d garage that can accommodate 174 cars, equipped with chargers for electric vehicles. Attention is drawn to\u00a0the roof of the building in\u00a0the form of an observation deck, on\u00a0which a\u00a0recreational space for waiting passengers has been arranged.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The station will be\u00a0the largest communication center both in\u00a0Lublin and in\u00a0the region. It will integrate public transport with extra-urban bus and bus transport as\u00a0well as\u00a0rail transport.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a\u00a0unique investment for both the city and the region, which was recognized as\u00a0one of the most beautiful stations in\u00a0Poland even before the completion of the construction. A\u00a0facility with such characteristics and functionalities should contribute not only to\u00a0the development of tourism in\u00a0the entire voivodeship, but also noticeably facilitate everyday communication for residents \u2013<\/em> says Artur Popko, President of Budimex.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The design has state-of-the-art pro-ecological solutions and meets the highest standards in\u00a0terms of sustainable development. On\u00a0the facility, in\u00a0glass roofs, there are photovoltaic panels with a\u00a0capacity of 0.5 MW. To\u00a0ensure the operation of the heat pumps, the general contractor drilled 42 boreholes with a\u00a0total length of almost 6 km, while the underground garage was made so that its ventilation proceeds naturally, thanks to\u00a0air circulation. These solutions are intended to\u00a0achieve full energy self-sufficiency of the building. The station building is also equipped with a\u00a0modern rainwater recovery system \u2013 constantly providing water for irrigation of greenery and for sanitary purposes.Anti-smog paving slabs were also used and a\u00a0charging station for city buses was planned.<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan Station is literally drowning in\u00a0greenery. A\u00a0total of 100 new trees and over 31 thousand new trees were planted on\u00a0the investment site. shrubs, climbers, and ornamental grasses. The green wall alone with an area of 290 m2 \u2013 one of the largest of its kind in\u00a0Poland \u2013 was created from nearly 27 thousand. Plant.<\/p>\n

The building constructed by\u00a0Budimex also features interesting architectural solutions, such as\u00a0impressive pillars resembling tree branches and a\u00a0fa\u00e7ade creating the impression of two separate buildings hidden inside. The challenge was also to\u00a0construct a\u00a0steel structure with a\u00a0total weight of 2,200 tonnes. The usable roof in\u00a0the form of an observation deck, visible from afar, is very impressive. This space was created for waiting passengers, who will be\u00a0able to\u00a0use walking routes, as\u00a0well as\u00a0tables, chairs and hammocks. With the youngest in\u00a0mind, a\u00a0playground with a\u00a0rope park was built.<\/p>\n

The building has been constructed to\u00a0ensure maximum comfort for people with disabilities and is fully adapted to\u00a0the collision-free movement of pedestrians and people with disabilities, as\u00a0well as\u00a0people with reduced mobility. Outside, guidance plates have been installed to\u00a0all entrances of the station, to\u00a0platforms and stops, and to\u00a0elevators. The same marking system was used inside. All this to\u00a0make it possible to\u00a0reach the ticket offices and toilets. With people with mobility disabilities in\u00a0mind, two checkout stands have been lowered to\u00a0a\u00a0height of 90 cm. The facilities also apply to\u00a0cyclists, who will find nearly 70 parking spaces and 1.3 km of bicycle paths on\u00a0site.<\/p>\n

There are references to\u00a0the city in\u00a0which it was built at\u00a0the station. On\u00a0the inner wall in\u00a0the hall, a\u00a0concrete map of Lublin with an area of approx. 200 m2 was made. The second one was built outside and was integrated into the floor. In\u00a0turn, next to\u00a0the station building, there are independent bus platforms covered with a\u00a0glass roof supported by\u00a0pillars, decorated with motifs from folk cut-outs.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the contract, Budimex also carried out road works. The reconstruction of streets was carried out by\u00a0making 18.7 thousand. m2 of bituminous pavement and 26.2 thousand. made of granite cubes and stone slabs.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
