On\u00a03 July 2020, the Management Board of Budimex SA announced that it had decided to\u00a0start the process of reviewing strategic options with respect to\u00a0the development segment of the Budimex Group. The review will be\u00a0aimed at\u00a0analysing various available scenarios for the development of the development segment and selecting the most advantageous way to\u00a0implement the long-term development strategy of Budimex SA. The company will consider expanding its geographical and product expansion in\u00a0order to\u00a0ultimately achieve twice as\u00a0many sales on\u00a0the development market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the review, Budimex intends to\u00a0analyse scenarios involving e.g. in. acquiring a\u00a0significant investor or\u00a0investors for development activities (both minority and majority), concluding a\u00a0strategic alliance with another entity, introducing Budimex Nieruchomo\u015bci to\u00a0the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The possibility of diversifying the development activity of the city of Szczecin is also to\u00a0be\u00a0analyzed. in. by\u00a0building a\u00a0stock of apartments for rent (resi for rent), dormitories, or\u00a0the implementation of real estate projects of a\u00a0commercial nature. The result of the process may also be\u00a0a\u00a0decision to\u00a0discontinue the changes and to\u00a0continue the current operating model of Budimex Nieruchomo\u015bci.<\/p>\n

Budimex has decided to\u00a0join the process of selecting an external advisor from among reputable companies, whose task will be\u00a0to\u00a0support the management board in\u00a0conducting the review.\u00a0 The situation of Budimex Nieruchomo\u015bci and Budimex SA is good, both companies have a\u00a0strong cash position, which has improved after recent months compared to\u00a0the beginning of 2020. The currently implemented and planned investments will continue unchanged, as\u00a0well as\u00a0further purchases of plots in\u00a0all locations where Budimex Nieruchomo\u015bci operates, especially in\u00a0Warsaw.<\/p>\n

The analysis we\u00a0are starting is long-term. Forecasts for housing market are good. The housing base in\u00a0Poland remains limited. A\u00a0large part of the housing stock is at\u00a0least 40 years old. The average size of the area of flats differs from the European average, which generates opportunities for the development of this segment of construction.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
