Great news for the youngest patients and their parents and caregivers. In\u00a0the pediatric ward at\u00a0the Specialist Hospital im.\u00a0Floriana Ceynowa\u00a0in\u00a0Wejherowo, the 34th Parent Zone will be\u00a0created. A\u00a0specially designated room will be\u00a0arranged for young patients and their caregivers so that they can spend time together in\u00a0more friendly conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For 7 years, Budimex has been creating comfortable spaces for hospitalized children and their caregivers in\u00a0hospitals throughout Poland. The zones are a\u00a0place for relaxation, meetings and fun outside the hospital room, which is often associated with sadness. As\u00a0part of the program, kitchenettes for preparing meals are also being created and often sanitary and hygienic points for quick refreshment. Since 2013, as\u00a0many as\u00a033 Parent Zones have been created on\u00a0the map of Polish as\u00a0part of the program, which are used by\u00a0an average of 25 thousand people per year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u00a0know that a\u00a0stay in\u00a0the hospital is not the most pleasant experience for both children and their caregivers, which is why we\u00a0try to\u00a0create conditions that will speed up the recovery process and allow you to\u00a0forget about the hardships of treatment, at\u00a0least for a\u00a0moment<\/em> \u2013 says Katarzyna W\u00f3jcik, an expert on\u00a0hospital care. communication in\u00a0Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

The Specialist Hospital im.\u00a0Floriana Ceynowa in\u00a0Wejherowo is already the 34th facility in\u00a0which the social program \u201cParent Zone. Budimex for Children\u201d. About 1700 patients aged 0-18 are admitted to\u00a0the paediatric ward every year. These are patients from the region, but also tourists who stay at\u00a0the seaside in\u00a0the summer season. In\u00a0addition, the hospital has an emergency department (ED for children), where children from summer resorts are admitted.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0Wejherowo, a\u00a0storage room with an associated toilet will be\u00a0adapted. According to\u00a0the design, the entire space will be\u00a0inspired by\u00a0the circus. There will be\u00a0a\u00a0theater on\u00a0wheels, wooden toys, circus applications on\u00a0the wall and a\u00a0colorful clothes hanger. The bathroom, on\u00a0the other hand, will be\u00a0equipped with a\u00a0shower, toilet seat and a\u00a0folding changing table, which will make it easier to\u00a0quickly refresh or\u00a0change the baby.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The whole project is supported by\u00a0the ambassadors of the program: actress Agnieszka Grochowska, Dariusz Wardziak, known as\u00a0Darek Stolarz, who runs his own program \u201cDarek Solo\u201d and Tatiana Mindewicz-Puacz \u2013 psychotherapist, motivator, mentor in\u00a0the Projekt Lady program. Each time, volunteers are involved in\u00a0helping with the finishing works \u2013 Budimex employees, who give the final \u201ctouch\u201d before the Parent Zone is handed over for use by\u00a0young patients.\u00a0 Work on\u00a0the Parent Zone is carried out on\u00a0the basis of all restrictions and recommendations of the Ministry of Health, and all necessary safety measures are maintained for patients, hospital employees and people performing work.<\/p>\n
