Budimex has completed work on\u00a0the construction of a\u00a0complex of production and repair halls in\u00a0Suszec in\u00a0Upper Silesia. The investor of the project is<\/strong> Jastrz\u0119bskie Zak\u0142ady Remontowe, part of the Jastrz\u0119bska Sp\u00f3\u0142ka W\u0119glowa Group. The general contractor completed the contract in\u00a0the \u201cdesign and build\u201d system. The net value of the works is PLN 53.1 million.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Budimex, in\u00a0accordance with the investor\u2019s guidelines, built new halls and carried out a\u00a0comprehensive expansion and modernisation of the existing production and social and office facilities with a\u00a0usable area of over 15,000 m2. The construction works also included the implementation of infrastructure accompanying the buildings: internal roads, parking lots and storage yards.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The facilities constructed by\u00a0Budimex use modern energy solutions, such as\u00a0photovoltaic panels and heat pumps. As\u00a0part of the contract, a\u00a0671 kWp installation was installed on\u00a0the southern fa\u00e7ade of the social and office building, the roofs of the halls and the administration building. As\u00a0many as\u00a02100 photovoltaic modules with a\u00a0unit power of 320 Wp were used.<\/p>\n

The production and repair facilities designed and built by\u00a0the general contractor will allow Jastrz\u0119bskie Zak\u0142ady Remontowe to\u00a0develop the production of machinery and equipment for the mining sector in\u00a0Poland and abroad. JZR will produce and repair m.in there. rails of suspended railways, rollers, main pipelines, scraper conveyor routes and powered roof support sections. Thanks to\u00a0the investment, about 170 new jobs will be\u00a0created in\u00a0the commune.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe construction of a\u00a0hall complex for JZR and JSW Group is one of our strategic contracts. A\u00a0modern complex of industrial facilities has been built to\u00a0support the development of the coking coal, coke and hydrocarbons production sector in\u00a0Poland. As\u00a0always, we\u00a0have engaged to\u00a0a\u00a0large extent local subcontractors who participated in\u00a0the construction of production and repair halls for JZR<\/em> \u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board and CEO of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

The general contractor has extensive experience in\u00a0designing and constructing industrial investments. Over the last several months, Budimex has provided investors with m.in.\u00a0two facilities of this type \u2013 the flood control reservoir in\u00a0Racib\u00f3rz and the largest logistics centre in\u00a0Ka\u0142uszyn. Currently, the company is building the \u201c\u017belazny Most\u201d, which is the largest waste reservoir in\u00a0Europe.<\/p>\n

JSW Group is the largest producer of high-quality hard coking coal and a\u00a0significant producer of coke in\u00a0the European Union. JSW Group\u2019s core business is the production and sale of coking coal as\u00a0well as\u00a0the production and sale of coke and hydrocarbons. Coal mined by\u00a0JSW Group, mainly coking coal, is used in\u00a0Central Europe by\u00a0local steel mills owned by\u00a0international steel producers and regional utilities. The high-quality coke produced by\u00a0JSW Group is also sold on\u00a0the global market.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
