In\u00a0the People\u2019s Park, which is being rebuilt by\u00a0Budimex, 20 wooden birdhouses have been installed. The nesting boxes were handmade by\u00a0children from the Siemacha Association, whose partner is the general contractor. Environmental protection is one of the pro-ecological activities that Budimex implements as\u00a0part of its CSR strategy. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The end of renovation works on\u00a0the reconstruction of the People\u2019s Park in\u00a0Lublin is approaching \u2013 in\u00a0the last phase of the project, Budimex installed birdhouses on\u00a0the trees. m.in will find shelter here. nuthatches, starlings, creepers,, woodpeckers, flycatchers and sparrows. The houses were made by\u00a0young people from the Siemacha Association in\u00a0Ma\u0142opolska. Budimex is the patron of the carpentry workshop in\u00a0this organisation.<\/p>\n

\u2013 We\u00a0are glad that Budimex supports the activities of our Association. At\u00a0the same time, we\u00a0are proud that our partner implements its investments with respect for the natural and social environment. We\u00a0are glad that the boxes \u2013 a\u00a0small accent of our cooperation \u2013 will go\u00a0to\u00a0a\u00a0good place. The first houses were sent to\u00a0Lublin <\/em>\u2013 says Justyna \u0141ukawska, Coordinator from the Association.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the pro-ecological cooperation, a\u00a0total of 50 nesting boxes will be\u00a0created. 30 of them are houses for swifts \u2013 small and very useful birds that eat up to\u00a03 thousand birds a\u00a0day. Mosquitoes. The boxes will be\u00a0installed in\u00a0the spring on\u00a0the fa\u00e7ade of Budimex housing estates in\u00a0Krak\u00f3w and Wroc\u0142aw.<\/p>\n

The idea of installing birdhouses is one of the assumptions of the new \u201cBudimex for nature\u201d programme. The project assumes m.in.\u00a0the use of renewable energy and CO2 reduction during the implementation of the investment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2013 The construction sector is responsible for almost half of the world\u2019s raw material extraction and for a\u00a0third of global carbon dioxide emissions. The aim of our \u201cBudimex for nature\u201d project is to\u00a0create a\u00a0social plan combining CSR activities that are carried out to\u00a0protect the environment and climate. In\u00a02021-2022, we\u00a0intend to\u00a0focus strongly on\u00a0solutions that will benefit nature and the environment <\/em>\u2013 explains Cezary M\u0105czka, Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA, Director of the Human Resources Management Division.<\/p>\n

There are many benefits of the \u201cBudimex for nature\u201d project \u2013 not only environmental, but also developmental. Generating less waste, reducing CO2 emissions to\u00a0the environment and exploiting the ecosystem is the direction in\u00a0which the general contractor is heading. That is why solar panels are already being installed more and more often on\u00a0Budimex construction sites to\u00a0power the project\u2019s facilities and individual raw materials, materials and products are reused for the implementation of subsequent projects.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
