The reconstruction and modernisation of national road No. 12 in\u00a0Che\u0142m carried out by\u00a0Budimex is already 65% complete. A\u00a0new surface has already been laid on\u00a0half of the route.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At\u00a0the moment, installation works are underway on\u00a0the noise barriers on\u00a0the west\u00a0 side of the new artery. The construction of viaducts along Wschodnia Street and Aleja Przyja\u017ani is also underway \u2013 including roundabouts along the latter street. The bridge over the Uherka River has already been rebuilt. At\u00a0the beginning of February 2021, the reconstruction of two roundabouts will begin: Roman Dmowskiego and ZWiN. Roundabouts will be\u00a0passable during this time, but with a\u00a0changed \u2013 temporary \u2013 traffic organization. Before Christmas, the organization of traffic along Rejowiecka Street will also change. Car traffic will cross the road.<\/p>\n

The construction works without the winter break, characteristic of road construction sites. The works are ahead of schedule.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the challenge for the construction workers, which is largely under traffic, is the damage to\u00a0the new infrastructure (curbs and pavements) by\u00a0drivers breaking traffic regulations. The losses on\u00a0this account have already exceeded PLN 120 thousand. There are also several properties whose fences are in\u00a0the right-of-way and have not yet been moved. Truck drivers who do\u00a0not take the detour indicated by\u00a0road signs also take their toll. The cameras installed by\u00a0Budimex record trucks breaking the regulations, and their recording is sent to\u00a0the police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The implementation of the project includes the reconstruction of National Road No. 12 within the city limits of Che\u0142m on\u00a0a\u00a0section of approx. 8.2 km along with the reconstruction and construction of the necessary accompanying infrastructure, including 5.5 km of local\/service roads. The works include a\u00a0comprehensive reconstruction of Podg\u00f3rze, Rejowiecka, Al.\u00a0Przyja\u017ani, Brest and Eastern Ramp. The investment program also includes the reconstruction of the bridge over the Uherka River, the reconstruction of the viaduct over the former railway siding in\u00a0the line of Al.\u00a0Przyja\u017ani, the construction of a\u00a0new viaduct over the railway tracks and the construction of bus stops, noise barriers and over 8 km of bicycle paths. The end of the works will take place in\u00a0October 2021.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
