On 17 December 2020, Budimex signed a contract with the Olsztyn branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the construction of the Smolajny bypass along national road No. 51. The contract, worth nearly PLN 26 million, will be completed by the general contractor within 16 months, excluding the winter months.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The construction of the Smolajny bypass is another task in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship carried out as part of the government\u2019s Program for the construction of 100 bypasses for 2020-2030. Budimex will construct a section of the road with a total length of 1.76 km. The new infrastructure will improve driving comfort and travel safety for long-distance and regional traffic.<\/p>\n

\u2013 DK51 in this area is the northern exit from Olsztyn leading towards the border of our country. The expansion of this section of the road will significantly contribute to improving the smoothness of travel, i.e. it will allow to maintain a constant speed along the entire route. <\/em>\u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board and CEO at Budimex.<\/p>\n

The investment will consist in the expansion of the road in the existing and partly in the new track. As part of the task, Budimex will construct additional roadways to serve adjacent areas, as well as a pedestrian and bicycle route, sidewalks, two pairs of bus bays and pedestrian crossings with asylums. The planned project implementation date is 2021-2022.<\/p>\n

Budimex has extensive experience in the construction of infrastructure investments. Currently, the general contractor is carrying out m.in. the Wa\u0142brzych bypass and a fragment of the S19 road in Bia\u0142ystok and DK12 in Che\u0142m.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
