On\u00a029 and 30 December, at\u00a0the construction site of the A1 Tuszyn \u2013 Piotrk\u00f3w section, Budimex commissioned two key junctions: Piotrk\u00f3w Zach\u00f3d (connection of the A1 under construction with the S8) and Piotrk\u00f3w Po\u0142udnie (the so-called largest roundabout in\u00a0Europe). The commissioning of both new facilities together with the new system of temporary traffic for cars in\u00a0the 2+2 system (two lanes in\u00a0Katowice and two lanes in\u00a0the direction of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a) will significantly speed up the journey between these two junctions and shorten the travel time from 40 to\u00a010 minutes during rush hours. Both junctions are called the key section of the \u201cPolish road backbone\u201d, in\u00a0these places it crosses the S8 route with the A1 motorway under construction and with the national road DK74 connecting Piotrk\u00f3w Trybunalski with \u0141\u00f3d\u017a.<\/p>\n

Temporary traffic on\u00a0two lanes in\u00a0each direction is already taking place on\u00a0the new line of the motorway under construction along the entire length of the 15-kilometre-long contract carried out by\u00a0Budimex. The opening of this key section was attended by\u00a0m.in.\u00a0Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk, Director of GDDKiA Tomasz \u017buchowski and Dariusz Blocher President of Budimex SA and Artur Popko \u2013 Vice President of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

Our goal is to\u00a0deliver the entire investment before the contract date planned for the end of 2021, as\u00a0we\u00a0try to\u00a0do\u00a0on\u00a0many contracts. Many words of appreciation to\u00a0the Budimex team for the effort put into completing this part of the work ahead of schedule,\u201d he\u00a0said during the opening of the nodes. <\/em>Dariusz Blocher \u2013 President of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

From mid-January 2021, this section of the A1 will be\u00a0covered by\u00a0sectional speed measurement. We\u00a0appeal to\u00a0drivers driving on\u00a0the new section to\u00a0drive safely and to\u00a0comply with the speed limit of 70 km\/h. It should be\u00a0remembered that the construction is still ongoing on\u00a0the adjacent road and that the safety of these people depends to\u00a0a\u00a0large extent on\u00a0the responsibility of drivers <\/em>\u2013 adds Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n

The biggest congestion on\u00a0the A1 is becoming a\u00a0thing of the past. What you have done today \u2013 addressing contractors to\u00a0the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways \u2013 is a\u00a0great achievement,\u201d he\u00a0said during the opening of the Piotrk\u00f3w Po\u0142udnie junction<\/em> \u2013 Minister Andrzej Adamczyk.<\/p>\n

The construction of the A1 Tuszyn-Piotrk\u00f3w section is currently 65% advanced. Construction works are already underway on\u00a0the second line of the old road No. 1. The planned date of completion of the works and the opening of the target traffic is December 2021.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
