\n On 6 April, Dariusz Blocher \u2013 President of Budimex SA submitted his resignation from the position of President of the Management Board to the Supervisory Board. This is a planned decision and related to his further professional development after twelve years as the leader of Budimex.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

After 12 years of serving as the President of the Management Board of Budimex S.A., I have decided to resign from this position on the day preceding the General Meeting of Shareholders of Budimex S.A. settling the company\u2019s operations in \u00a02020.<\/em> This is a planned decision. The reason for resignation is for reasons beyond the company\u2019s control. Related to the possibility of taking over other, non-operational supervisory tasks within the Ferrovial Group<\/em> \u2013 says Dariusz Blocher. I believe that I will be able to continue to use the experience I have gained in other ways, supporting Budimex and Ferrovial in their further development,\u201d <\/em>adds Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n

I intend to formally resign immediately after the date of the General Meeting of Shareholders is set, but I wanted to give you notice of my decision today. Working at Budimex for the last 19 years, I have met many wonderful people: committed, open-minded, for whom the values of our company are important<\/em> \u2013 emphasizes Dariusz Blocher. Together, we have built an undisputed market leader with the largest, diversified and profitable order portfolio. Together, we went through both good and very difficult times, which taught us humility and diligence. At the same time, striving to develop the company, we did not forget to support others who needed help more<\/em> These were years of hard work, but also great satisfaction with the development of the organization, pride in the successes of our teams <\/em>,\u201d says the President of Budimex.<\/p>\n

I would like to thank our investors, contractors and subcontractors, with whom we have completed hundreds of construction contracts in recent years \u00a0<\/em> ,\u201d adds Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

From 2009 to 2020, the value of Budimex\u2019s sales increased from PLN 3.2 billion to PLN 8.3 billion. At the same time, the number of contracts executed in the same period increased from 80 to over 200, and the value of the entire portfolio \u2013 from PLN 5 to 12 billion, while profitability improved from 6 to 7 percent.<\/p>\n

Dariusz Blocher is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering at the Cz\u0119stochowa University of Technology and IESE Business School in Barcelona. He started his professional career at the Ahlstrom \u2013 Fakop Factory. From 1994 to 2002, he was associated with Pepsi Co. Poland, initially as the head of the Sales Department, dir. Ds. in the Sales and Distribution Department, and since 1998 he has been the Director of Personnel Management. personnel in production plants and at the Pepsi Cola headquarters in Poland. In 2002, Dariusz Blocher joined Budimex SA. He was appointed as a member of the Management Board, Director of Chief Affairs human resources management. Since 2009, Dariusz Blocher has been the President of the Management Board and CEO of Budimex SA. In 2017, Budimex became the largest general construction contractor in Poland. In June 2019. The President of Budimex was nominated to the position of Director of the Ferrovial Construction Group for Europe, where he managed the European market of the Ferrovial Group: Polish, British, Irish and Slovak. He combined his new role with the position of the president of Budimex in Poland.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
