There is no\u00a0need to\u00a0convince anyone that sports activity is extremely important for maintaining physical and mental health. However, although this awareness is widespread, the most common reason for leading a\u00a0passive lifestyle by\u00a0Poles is the lack of motivation,\u00a0 which has recently been further exacerbated by\u00a0the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why Budimex decided to\u00a0activate its employees by\u00a0inviting them to\u00a0participate in\u00a0sports competition as\u00a0part of the \u201cBudimagedon\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Olympic Games are a\u00a0great example of the fact that the desire to\u00a0compete with others has accompanied people for centuries and is an extremely strong motivation to\u00a0practice sports. Budimex has also decided to\u00a0use it, which is organising \u201cBudimagedon\u201d on\u00a007.04 \u2013 12.05. As\u00a0part of it, employees will compete in\u00a0three disciplines, in\u00a0which the number of kilometers achieved, i.e. running, riding and walking, will be\u00a0crucial. However, in\u00a0the fourth category, which includes m.in.\u00a0Rollerblading, skiing or\u00a0cross-country skiing, dancing and swimming, the number of calories burned during training will determine the victory. The project is carried out remotely.<\/p>\n

An additional element of \u201cBudimagedon\u201d are the challenges and obstacles that its participants will have to\u00a0face, which are to\u00a0further encourage them to\u00a0be\u00a0active, e.g. one of the tasks will be\u00a0to\u00a0indicate the songs that accompany them during sports along with the justification of their choice.<\/p>\n

During the project, employees will be\u00a0able to\u00a0read tips on\u00a0a\u00a0healthy lifestyle, opinions on\u00a0various diets, as\u00a0well as\u00a0learn how the right choice of music affects the effectiveness of training.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Playing sports together, motivating each other to\u00a0this type of activity, competing in\u00a0the spirit of fair play are factors that strongly integrate. That is why at\u00a0Budimex we\u00a0often invite our employees to\u00a0participate in\u00a0projects related to\u00a0physical activity. It is also one of the directions of our activities in\u00a0the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the employees of our company do\u00a0not have the opportunity to\u00a0train together, \u201cBudimagedon\u201d allows them to\u00a0experience emotions together and feel like a\u00a0community, pursuing one goal \u2013 winning in\u00a0sports competition<\/em> \u2013 emphasizes Cezary M\u0105czka, Member of the Management Board of Budimex S.A., Director of the Human Resources Management Division.<\/p>\n

\u201cBudimagedon\u201d began on\u00a0World Health Day (celebrated on\u00a0April 7 since 1950) with a\u00a0webinar entitled \u201cSTAY STRONG! How to\u00a0build mental resilience while acting in\u00a0extreme conditions?\u201d, which was led by\u00a0Kinga Baranowska, a\u00a0Himalayan mountaineer, conqueror of nine eight-thousanders, former member of the national team in\u00a0high-altitude climbing.<\/p>\n

The Budimex Group employs over 7.5 thousand employees and is the largest construction employer among general contractors in\u00a0Poland.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
