On\u00a016 April 2021, Budimex signed a\u00a0contract with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Gda\u0144sk Branch, for the construction of another section of the S6 expressway as\u00a0part of the project entitled: \u201cConstruction of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass divided into 2 parts: Part No. 1: Construction of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass. Task 1: Chwaszczyno junction (without the junction) \u2013 \u017bukowo junction (without the junction)\u201d. The contract, worth over PLN 581 million net, will be\u00a0completed by\u00a0the general contractor within 38 months of signing the contract, excluding winter periods, i.e. by\u00a0March 2025. The signing of the agreement was also attended by\u00a0Mateusz Morawiecki \u2013 Prime Minister and Andrzej Adamczyk \u2013 Minister of Infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The contract was signed on\u00a0the S6 Luzino-Szemud section implemented by\u00a0Budimex, which is a\u00a0continuation of the planned Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass. As\u00a0part of the investment, Budimex will be\u00a0responsible for the implementation of approx. 16.3 km of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass, which is part of the S6 expressway. By\u00a02024, a\u00a0dual carriageway expressway will be\u00a0built with two lanes in\u00a0each direction and with a\u00a0reserve for the third lane, the \u201cMiszewo\u201d and \u201cChwaszczyno\u201d road junctions, the Miszewo road circuit, as\u00a0well as\u00a0m.in.\u00a025 engineering structures. The contract will be\u00a0implemented in\u00a0the \u201cDesign and Build\u201d formula.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Budimex has extensive experience in\u00a0the implementation of road contracts in\u00a0Poland. We\u00a0are glad that we\u00a0will implement a\u00a0new section of the S6 expressway, which is strategic for all local and national transport<\/em>. This is our next large investment in\u00a0the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Currently, we\u00a0are also implementing the S6 Kashubian Route on\u00a0the Luzino-Szemud section. We\u00a0will complete the construction of this section within the next 12 months <\/em>\u2013 says Dariusz Blocher \u2013 President of the Management Board of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Eighty percent of road construction projects are completed before the deadline. We\u00a0have experience in\u00a0the implementation of road sections that are very demanding from the engineering point of view: on\u00a0unstable and uneven soils, with numerous flyovers or\u00a0wetlands. We\u00a0always keep our promises and bring contracts to\u00a0an end for the benefit of investors and road users \u2013 <\/em>adds Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n

The construction of the OMT was divided into two parts. The first task, carried out by\u00a0Budimex, is the section between the Chwaszczyno junction (without the junction) and the \u017bukowo junction (without the junction). As\u00a0part of the second one, the works will be\u00a0carried out by\u00a0a\u00a0consortium of Mirbud and Kobylarnia companies on\u00a0the section \u017bukowo (with the junction) \u2013 Gda\u0144sk Po\u0142udnie (extension of the junction) and on\u00a0the \u017bukowo bypass. Ultimately, the OMT will be\u00a0about 39 km long and will enable efficient passage from the A1 and S7 motorways to\u00a0the west and north of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, leading transit traffic to\u00a0further sections of the S6 route towards L\u0119bork, S\u0142upsk and Koszalin. The bypass under construction will also be\u00a0of strategic importance for transport within \u017bukowo and Chwaszczyna and will relieve traffic on\u00a0the existing S6 expressway of the Tri-City Bypass.<\/p>\n

OMT is another infrastructure investment in\u00a0Budimex\u2019s portfolio. Currently, the company is implementing m.in.\u00a0construction of the A1 Tuszyn-Piotrk\u00f3w section, the S61 expressway (on\u00a0the sections: Suwa\u0142ki \u2013 Budzisko with the Szypliszki bypass, Stawiski-Szczuczyn, Wysokie \u2013 Raczki) and the S19 expressway on\u00a0the section from the Bia\u0142ystok Zach\u00f3d junction (without the junction) to\u00a0the Bia\u0142ystok Ksi\u0119\u017cyno junction (with the junction) and on\u00a0the section between the Kamie\u0144 and Soko\u0142\u00f3w Ma\u0142opolski P\u00f3\u0142noc junctions.<\/p><\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
