Budimex has completed a\u00a0significant part of the works on\u00a0railway line No. 7 Warsaw \u2013 Lublin on\u00a0flights B\u00a0and C1. The works on\u00a0flight B: Pilawa \u2013 D\u0119blin are already completed in\u00a0100% and on\u00a0flight C: D\u0119blin \u2013 Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w the works on\u00a0one track have been completed. From Sunday, December 14, scheduled trains run on\u00a0both sections with a\u00a0length of over 90 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On\u00a0the D\u0119blin \u2013 Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w section, Budimex commissioned 25 km of track with subgrade and drainage, the same amount of overhead contact line and 19 railway turnouts. Passengers will use 7 new platform edges with pedestrian access, drainage, lighting, shelters and small architecture. 7 railway crossings were built in\u00a0the ballast-free technology, and 22 engineering structures were constructed.<\/p>\n

The works were carried out at\u00a0an express pace of 6 months. The enormity of the work is evidenced by\u00a0the involvement of the number of people. Almost 2,000 employees and over 100 units of equipment have worked and are working on\u00a0the LK7 modernization,\u201d says Artur Popko, Vice President and Construction Director of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0great success is the completion by\u00a0Budimex before the winter period of earthworks, underfloor works, track works and works related to\u00a0the development of the overhead contact line structure on\u00a0track No. 1 between the sections of Pu\u0142awy Miasto until the end of the scope of our investment. The completion of these works on\u00a0this section was to\u00a0take place in\u00a0October 2020, according to\u00a0the contract,\u201d says Artur Popko.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0addition, track No. 2 on\u00a0the D\u0119blin \u2013 Pu\u0142awy section was put into operation, and it is a\u00a019-kilometer section of track with subgrade and drainage, the same amount of overhead contact line. Travelers will use 4 new platform edges with pedestrian accesses, drainage, lighting, shelters and small architecture. 3 railway crossings were built in\u00a0ballastless technology. The launch of this section was possible thanks to\u00a0the commissioning of the Zarzeka Signal Box building.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0the Pilawa \u2013 D\u0119blin section (Lot B), the works are already completed. Here m.in was created:

\u2022 106 new turnouts<\/p>\n

\u2022 53 engineering structures<\/p>\n

\u2022 17 rail-road crossings<\/p>\n

On\u00a0the Otwock \u2013 Pilawa section (Lot A) \u2013 Before the winter period, 90% of the works in\u00a0the underfloor area were completed, works related to\u00a0the construction of both tracks are underway. Double-track train traffic on\u00a0this section will be\u00a0launched next year. The material progress of the entire contract is 60%. <\/p>\n

All works carried out by\u00a0Budimex on\u00a0LK7 Warszawa \u2013 Lublin have been underway since May 2017. The works carried out by\u00a0Budimex are ongoing over a\u00a0length of about 120 km of the line. The value of all tasks: Lot A, B\u00a0and C\u00a0is PLN 1 billion 600 million net.<\/p>\n

Budimex SA is currently among the top three largest railway contractors. The company has m.in behind it. reconstruction of the Olszamowice station on\u00a0the Central Railway Line, or\u00a0modernization of the railway ring line in\u00a0Warsaw. For the latter contract, Budimex SA was awarded the title of \u201cDiamond of Infrastructure and Construction 2018\u201d in\u00a0railway construction. Other investments in\u00a0this sector carried out by\u00a0the company include m.in.\u00a0modernization of the E59 railway line on\u00a0the Rokietnica-Wronki section, or\u00a0works on\u00a0LCS Idzikowice. Both contracts are to\u00a0end in\u00a02020. Budimex is also the general contractor for the Trzebinia \u2013 Krzeszowice (Katowice-Krak\u00f3w) section, improving rail access to\u00a0the seaport in\u00a0Gdynia.<\/p>\n
