The developed technologies, based on the action of innovative microcapsules in mineral and asphalt mixtures, will be used on construction sites carried out by the company.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The main objective of the project is to develop an innovative technology for the production of an intelligent additive for road bitumen. During the daily use of the road surface, it will be dormant, activating only as a result of damage and causing its repair. Stopping the development of microcracks in the asphalt mixture will inhibit the formation of larger problems \u2013 macrocracks, which appear naturally and are caused by vehicle traffic or temperature changes. As part of this innovative project, a technology based on the operation of the so-called \u201cS. microcapsules, which will increase the durability and service life of the roads under construction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>\u2013 Mechanical degradation of the surface can be significantly reduced by refining mineral and asphalt mixtures. One of the innovative solutions in this field is the use of the so-called microcapsules made of a rigid shell, filled with a liquid agent for repairing microcracks in the asphalt. This material is an absolute novelty in the road industry, not used in Poland so far<\/em>  \u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board, CEO of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">During the research, various types of microcapsules will be tested, m.in. of various sizes, wall thicknesses, made of different materials and containing filling with repair agents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As part of the activities, not only laboratory tests are planned, but also the performance of test sections to confirm the properties of the developed technology.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The project is co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development.<br \/>Project value: PLN 4,020,928.27<br \/>Amount of co-financing: PLN 2,588,343.21<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Budimex, as a leader in the construction industry, pays special attention to education and cooperation in the field of innovation, conducting pioneering development projects.
