In the first place, earthworks will be carried out. On Oliwska and \u0141u\u017cycka Streets, the reconstruction of underground installations will begin, which will take about two months. After the summer holidays, the works will move to DK No. 6, where temporary traffic organization will be introduced. Nearly 100 people will work at the construction of the junction at maximum capacity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purpose of the implementation of the Rumia Janowo junction is primarily to improve road traffic and modernize the surrounding infrastructure. Thanks to this investment, it will also be possible to integrate various means of transport. This means that a functional, coherent road transport system will be created, and thus \u2013 the number of passengers of public transport will increase, and thus traffic jams and exhaust emissions will decrease.<\/p>\n

The project provides for the construction of the SKM station Rumia Janowo m.in. a tunnel connecting two parts of the city, parking lots, bicycle paths, bus shelters and bays, as well as footbridges and facilities for the disabled.<\/p>\n

The biggest challenge is the construction of a tunnel that passes under 4 railway tracks and the platform of the Rumia Janowo stop. The tunnel will include a vehicular road, pedestrian and bicycle route. The static system of the structure will be a single-span reinforced concrete frame with a closed cross-section and a span of 15 m in the light of the walls and a length of 29.28 m.<\/p>\n
