The first zone this year will be\u00a0created in\u00a0Piotrk\u00f3w Trybunalski! The Children\u2019s Ward, where over a\u00a0thousand young patients are hospitalized annually, has been selected for the social program \u201cParent Zone. Budimex for Children\u201d. In\u00a0just a\u00a0few weeks, a\u00a0space will be\u00a0created there where young patients and their caregivers will be\u00a0able to\u00a0spend time together. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cParent Zone. Budimex for Children\u201d \u2013 a\u00a0nationwide social project run and fully financed by\u00a0Budimex SA \u2013 aims to\u00a0create special places in\u00a0children\u2019s wards in\u00a0Polish hospitals. Places friendly to\u00a0parents and young patients. The results of scientific research indicate that the constant presence of a\u00a0parent with the child during a\u00a0hospital stay gives a\u00a0sense of security, reduces stress and shortens the hospitalization process by\u00a0up to\u00a0more than 30%,<\/strong> which actually shortens the recovery time.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Children\u2019s Ward at\u00a0the District Centre for Mother and Child in\u00a0Piotrk\u00f3w Trybunalski is the only one that provides inpatient paediatric care and provides all-day and round-the-clock services to\u00a0residents of the Piotrk\u00f3w Trybunalski District.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know how important the District Center of Mother and Child is for the local community. We\u00a0want to\u00a0take proper care of the comfort of children and parents staying in\u00a0the Children\u2019s Ward. Each Parent Zone is an individual project. The space that will be\u00a0created in\u00a0the hospital in\u00a0Piotrk\u00f3w Trybunalski will perfectly combine the expectations of the hospital and the real needs of young patients and their caregivers.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 says Katarzyna W\u00f3jcik, who coordinates social programmes at\u00a0Budimex.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Currently, the works are at\u00a0the design stage. According to\u00a0preliminary assumptions, the spaces of the current common room, the corridor and the kitchenette will be\u00a0adapted.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Renovation works will begin this month. The opening of the 33. Parent Zone is scheduled for April<\/strong>, after Easter. Traditionally, the last stage of the renovation will be\u00a0attended by\u00a0volunteers from Budimex who will help finish the rooms. The ceremonial opening of the Zone will be\u00a0attended by, among others: patients and\u00a0their caregivers, representatives of the hospital, local authorities, media and guests.
