\n The consortium of Budimex SA, the Railway Research Institute, the Institute of Environmental Protection \u2013 National Research Institute, TINES, led by\u00a0the Warsaw University of Technology, is working on\u00a0innovative devices for PKP PLK, reducing vibration and noise emissions. <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

InRaViS and InRaNoS are the names of projects aimed at\u00a0\u00a0developing innovative solutions dedicated to\u00a0the protection of people, buildings and the environment against noise
and vibrations caused by\u00a0railway traffic. On\u00a0the basis of numerical simulations, laboratory tests and tests conducted in\u00a0real conditions, guidelines will be\u00a0developed for the use of the developed devices on\u00a0railway lines managed by\u00a0PKP PLK SA.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the InRaNoS (Innovative solutions for people and environment protection against rail traffic noise<\/em>) project, two types of prototype noise reduction devices will be\u00a0developed \u2013 rail and track silencers. The InRaViS \u00a0(Innovative solutions for people and buildings protection against rail traffic vibrations<\/em>) project, on\u00a0the other hand, assumes the development of four types of devices introduced by\u00a0
in\u00a0the construction of the railway superstructure, intended for ballast (vibro-insulating mats and under-base pads) and ballast-free (vibro-insulating under-plate mats and a\u00a0system of block rail supports in\u00a0the lagging) \u00a0structures of the railway superstructure.<\/p>\n

The prototypes of the devices will be\u00a0the result of material and geometric optimizations, as\u00a0well as\u00a0computer simulations and laboratory tests. They will be\u00a0designed by\u00a0analyzing the mechanisms of vibration and noise formation and reduction, as\u00a0well as\u00a0the effectiveness of their damping. The effectiveness of noise dampening prototypes will also\u00a0 be\u00a0tested using the impulse method on\u00a0sections of the railway superstructure by\u00a0the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. All the equipment, technically refined, will be\u00a0manufactured by\u00a0TINES, and its installation on\u00a0the test sections of the experimental track of the Railway Institute in\u00a0\u017bmigr\u00f3d will be\u00a0carried out by\u00a0Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

Measurements of the noise level on\u00a0the experimental track will be\u00a0carried out by\u00a0the Institute of Environmental Protection \u2013 National Research Institute, the level of vibrations transmitted to\u00a0the surroundings of the route \u2013 by\u00a0the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, and the level of impact in\u00a0the rail vehicle \u2013 by\u00a0the Railway Research Institute.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0the basis of the results of research and tests, guidelines for the use of devices will be\u00a0developed in\u00a0order to\u00a0reduce the level of vibration and noise from railway traffic, and it will be\u00a0possible to\u00a0precisely select measures to\u00a0minimize the scale of exceedances. The completion of the works is planned for May 2021.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The InRaViS and InRaNoS projects are co-financed by\u00a0PKP PLK and the National Centre for Research and Development, from the European Regional Development Fund, as\u00a0part of the competition No. 1\/4.1.1\/2017\/POIR BRIK Joint Undertaking.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
