Budimex is launching a\u00a0new social programme addressed to\u00a0schools and local governments across Poland: Hello ICE. Its task will be\u00a0to\u00a0eliminate dangerous places on\u00a0the roads near schools. The program will enable municipalities and schools, in\u00a0addition to\u00a0educational activities, to\u00a0also make a\u00a0real improvement in\u00a0safety in\u00a0the least safe places, m.in.\u00a0by\u00a0locating \u00a0the passage for the 3D lanes. The program will be\u00a0supported by\u00a0Sebastian Mila, a\u00a0former footballer, multiple Polish national team.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0the www.helloICE.pl<\/a> programme website, Budimex has created an interactive map on\u00a0which everyone can mark a\u00a0dangerous place in\u00a0their town. In\u00a0this case, its creators count on\u00a0the special involvement of parents and teachers. An interactive map will help you locate the \u201cblack spots\u201d. The next step will be\u00a0to\u00a0work with local authorities to\u00a0find solutions to\u00a0eliminate them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u201cHello ICE\u201d program is a\u00a0response to\u00a0real needs that we\u00a0observe every day. The world is changing, there are more and more cars, children are increasingly moving around with a\u00a0smartphone in\u00a0their hands and headphones on\u00a0their ears, riding electric scooters \u2013 all this increases the risk of accidents. That is why we\u00a0want to\u00a0teach children how to\u00a0behave safely both on\u00a0and off the road. We\u00a0also want to\u00a0identify dangerous places near Polish schools with the help of all of us and draw the attention of local authorities to\u00a0them, and then eliminate the threats. \u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board of Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

To\u00a0date, 125 thousand children in\u00a0schools and hospitals have benefited from Budimex\u2019s social programmes: ICE Intercom and Parent Zone. <\/p>\n

According to\u00a0the Polish Road Traffic Observatory, every year in\u00a0the European Union countries over 600 children under the age of 14 die on\u00a0the roads. In\u00a0Poland, in\u00a02018, there were 2,680\u00a0road accidents involving children, including as\u00a0many as\u00a057 fatalities. In\u00a0the case of the youngest, most fatalities and injuries are passengers, but it must be\u00a0remembered that there are also pedestrians and cyclists among them. Every third child who died in\u00a0an accident was on\u00a0foot. That is why it is so important to\u00a0educate children about safety from an early age. Budimex undertook this task by\u00a0creating a\u00a0social programme addressed to\u00a0primary school students HELLO ICE, under the patronage \u00a0of the Ministry of Infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Step 1 \u2013 we\u00a0track down dangerous places <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Sebastian Mila, a\u00a0former footballer and multiple Polish national team player,<\/strong> was involved in\u00a0promoting children\u2019s safety on\u00a0the roads.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u2013 I\u00a0know from experience how easy it is to\u00a0have an accident and a\u00a0dangerous situation on\u00a0the road. That\u2019s why I\u00a0decided to\u00a0support the HELLO ICE program. I\u00a0encourage parents, guardians, but also all people to\u00a0mark dangerous points in\u00a0their towns. Sometimes a\u00a0simple action, such as\u00a0painting 3D lines, illuminating a\u00a0place, a\u00a0speed bump can save a\u00a0person\u2019s life <\/em>\u2013 emphasizes Sebastian Mila. <\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Step 2 \u2013 education through play <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

In\u00a0addition to\u00a0the interactive map, Budimex has developed lesson scenarios on\u00a0safety, which will be\u00a0available to\u00a0primary school teachers. Their protagonist is a\u00a0friendly tiger Budi. During the lesson, children will not only gain the necessary knowledge, but will also be\u00a0able to\u00a0try their hand at\u00a0various quizzes, tasks and guessing games. From September to\u00a0December, Budimex will organise a\u00a0safety lesson once a\u00a0month in\u00a0one of the schools that apply for the programme. Budi the tiger, on\u00a0the other hand, will guide students through a\u00a0nearby pedestrian crossing, where 3D stripes will be\u00a0painted at\u00a0the end. Children will also receive reflective ICE cards (with the option to\u00a0enter contact details of their guardians) to\u00a0increase their visibility on\u00a0the road and ensure contact with their guardians.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Step 3 \u2013 we\u00a0appreciate commitment, i.e. the grand finale <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The finale of the HELLO ICE program will be\u00a0the organization of a\u00a0safety town in\u00a0one of the schools with the participation of the program\u2019s ambassador \u2013 Sebastian Mila. Budimex will create a\u00a0town in\u00a0this institution, which will be\u00a0most involved in\u00a0promoting safety rules among its students.<\/p>\n

Hello ICE is a\u00a0new version of the ICE Intercom programme, which over the last 9 years Budimex has covered nearly 37,000\u00a0children from grades I-III of primary schools across Poland, educating and equipping them with reflective ICE (In\u00a0Case of Emergency) cards.<\/p>\n

The HELLO ICE programme has received the honorary patronage of the Minister of Infrastructure. The issue of the safety of the youngest raised by\u00a0Budimex is important for the scope of the Minister\u2019s own activities, and the award proves the special nature of the HELLO ICE programme and its great importance for infrastructure.<\/p><\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
