On\u00a030 October, as\u00a0part of the \u201cTree for a\u00a0Survey\u201d campaign, volunteers from Budimex planted 200 trees in\u00a0the Bia\u0142ystok forest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The trees were planted as\u00a0part of a\u00a0campaign aimed at\u00a0encouraging the company\u2019s stakeholders to\u00a0share their opinion on\u00a0the integrated Budimex report. In\u00a0exchange for each completed survey, Budimex promised to\u00a0plant one tree. The choice of the place for the action fell on\u00a0Bia\u0142ystok, where the company is currently implementing several contracts, m.in.\u00a0builds the University Library, the Sybir Museum and renovates the Railway Station.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u00a0are glad that it was Bia\u0142ystok that received the gifts of trees as\u00a0part of the campaign conducted by\u00a0Budimex. The trees planted by\u00a0Budimex volunteers will undoubtedly enrich the urban ecosystem and contribute to\u00a0improving the microclimate in\u00a0our city.<\/em> \u2013 said Andrzej Karolski, Director of the Department of Municipal Economy of the Bia\u0142ystok City Hall.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

In\u00a0agreement with the Department of Municipal Economy of the Bia\u0142ystok City Hall, m.in were planted. beeches, oaks, lindens and rowans, which in\u00a0a\u00a0few years will not only be\u00a0home to\u00a0many animals, but also, above all, factories of oxygen necessary for the life of every inhabitant of our planet.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

In\u00a0carrying out our business activities, we\u00a0try to\u00a0minimize their negative impact on\u00a0the natural environment. We\u00a0carry out compensatory plantings, reusing in\u00a0the later stages of construction works the layers of fertile soil removed during the first stages of works. A\u00a0popular activity is also the transfer of plants and animals from the areas under construction to\u00a0new places, with the same requirements and habitat values. We\u00a0are also initiating many other additional actions aimed at\u00a0protecting the natural environment. \u00a0<\/em>\u2013 says Marcin G\u0142\u0105bek, Head of the Environmental Protection Team at\u00a0Budimex<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Trees play a\u00a0particularly important role in\u00a0urban space. They regulate the ambient temperature, in\u00a0the case of large agglomerations they provide soothing shade in\u00a0summer, thus limiting the impact of the so-called urban heat island, and in\u00a0winter they reduce wind speed, contributing to\u00a0the reduction of heat loss. In\u00a0addition, they contribute to\u00a0increasing air humidity by\u00a0alleviating urban drought, produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide and many gaseous and particulate pollutants.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Social responsibility at\u00a0Budimex is one of the strategic areas of its activity. For many years, the company has been involved in\u00a0activities for the benefit of local communities, implementing its own social programs, as\u00a0well as\u00a0supporting all activities for environmental protection.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
