The consortium of Budimex, Strabag and Budpol has completed the laying of cement concrete pavement on\u00a0the main route of the contract: Continuation of works related to\u00a0the construction of the A1 motorway on\u00a0the section Rz\u0105sawa Junction \u2013 Blachownia Junction within the scope of security works on\u00a0the section carried out by\u00a0Budimex. <\/em>The contract is being implemented in\u00a0a\u00a0consortium with Strabag Infrastruktura Po\u0142udnie\u00a0 Sp. z\u00a0o.o. and Budpol Sp. z\u00a0o.o.<\/p>\n

The contract was concluded on\u00a024.07.2019, paving began on\u00a0August 5. The contractual duration of the contract was 3.5 months with an end date of 15 November. In\u00a0recent days, the Consortium has signed an Annex to\u00a0the Agreement with GDDKiA extending the implementation deadline until December 23, 2019. The net value of the works attributable to\u00a0Budimex is PLN 154 million.<\/p>\n

The entire section F\u00a0of the A1 motorway, previously implemented by\u00a0Salini removed from the construction site, is 20 km long, including the Budimex section is 12.5 km long. As\u00a0part of the Budimex section, 132,000m2<\/sup> of cement concrete substructure and 180,000m2<\/sup> of cement concrete pavement and 70 thousand tonnes of mineral and bituminous mixtures were made. The interrupted construction of 13 bridges and 10 culverts was completed, the construction of noise barriers, rainwater drainage, reconstruction of the W400 water main and construction of power lines and lighting were completed. Budimex completed the construction of five transverse roads, obtained occupancy permits for the facilities and put them into operation, which significantly improved the transport situation in\u00a0the region for the local community, which had been using detours for 3 years.<\/p>\n

Almost 0.5 thousand employees and almost 300 equipment and transport units worked on\u00a0the Budimex section alone. The work was carried out 7 days a\u00a0week, around the clock, and thanks to\u00a0such a\u00a0large mobilisation and above-average commitment of the entire Contract team, Budimex Laboratory and Technologists and the Equipment Services Department, it was possible to\u00a0complete the main work more than a\u00a0month before the contract deadline.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
