\n In\u00a0August 2018, Budimex signed a\u00a0contract for the modernisation and reconstruction of the bus station at\u00a012 Czarnowska Street, which is symbolic for Kielce. The characteristic saucer-shaped building is to\u00a0be\u00a0commissioned in\u00a0July 2020, but Budimex can already boast of faster completion of the works than the schedule assumed. <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

\u201d <\/strong>At\u00a0the moment, we\u00a0have already started the stage of strengthening the existing structure of the station building and the stage of rebuilding the demolished elements <\/em>,\u201d says Grzegorz Tomporowski, contract manager at\u00a0Budimex S.A. All planned demolitions have also been completed. The m.in disappeared. roof covering of the lower and upper domes and the fa\u00e7ade of the station building. The internal walls and stairs, the technical building and the eastern and western tunnels were also demolished. In\u00a0addition, road surfaces and elements of small architecture were demolished. \u201d In\u00a0addition to\u00a0the demolition, we\u00a0also made an inventory of the structure of the station building using 3D scanning technology, which allowed for a\u00a0very accurate reproduction of even the smallest elements of this building <\/em>,\u201d adds Grzegorz Tomporowski.<\/p>\n

\n The work is progressing at\u00a0a\u00a0satisfactory pace<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

From the start of the works to\u00a0this day, Budimex has also managed to\u00a0carry out works within the eastern and western tunnels, m.in.\u00a0replacement of soil for their foundation, underfloor sanitary installation and underfloor concrete for the foundation slab of both tunnels. Currently, specialists are strengthening the existing steel structure of the station building. \u201d At\u00a0the same time, we\u00a0are carrying out reinforced concrete works in\u00a0the eastern and western tunnels in\u00a0the field of the foundation slab and demolition of the floor at\u00a0the zero level<\/em> ,\u201d says Grzegorz Tomporowski.<\/p>\n

\n Winter makes construction difficult, but not impossible<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

\u2013 In\u00a0the case of persistent temperatures below zero and unfavorable weather conditions, the work is carried out more slowly, because there is a\u00a0need to, for example, heat the elements and take breaks. However, to\u00a0
-10 degrees Celsius C\u00a0we\u00a0can carry out reinforced concrete works, so\u00a0 at\u00a0the moment the weather has little impact on\u00a0their course. In\u00a0relation to\u00a0the assumed schedule, we\u00a0are significantly ahead of the work<\/em> \u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex S.A.<\/p>\n

\n Modernization of the historic building <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The bus station in\u00a0Kielce, although built in\u00a0the 80s, is a\u00a0building of great historical value. It is a\u00a0great example of the architecture of those times. The renovation will not deprive the station of its characteristic saucer shape, it will only make it much more functional m.in.\u00a0thanks to\u00a0the installation of elevators and escalators. Budimex took care of some historical details, m.in.\u00a0the inscription \u201cStation\u201d and several elements of skylights. \u201d These parts, after scanning in\u00a0order to\u00a0reproduce new elements, will be\u00a0handed over to\u00a0the Museum \u201cPoland on\u00a0Wheels\u201d in\u00a0Busko Zdr\u00f3j with the investor\u2019s consent<\/em> ,\u201d says Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n

\u2013 In\u00a0the next stages of the works, Budimex will be\u00a0involved in\u00a0the reconstruction of the eastern and western tunnels in\u00a0the field of reinforced concrete structures and the construction of external sanitary and electrical networks. We\u00a0will also take care of the external glass fa\u00e7ade, as\u00a0well as\u00a0the development of documentation and the launch of production of new skylights<\/em> \u2013 says Grzegorz Tomporowski.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
