\u201cI would like to\u00a0thank Budimex for the careful construction and, as\u00a0always, for the more than average effort to\u00a0overcome all difficulties. I\u00a0am\u00a0glad that an investment such as\u00a0a\u00a0museum has been carried out by\u00a0a\u00a0company with a\u00a0Polish and such a\u00a0long tradition as\u00a0Budimex<\/em> \u2013 said Minister Gli\u0144ski.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Great things always have their small beginnings. As\u00a0for Budimex\u2019s projects, this building is not a\u00a0large motorway or\u00a0a\u00a0large office building, but it was nevertheless an unusual construction for us. Because, as\u00a0the previous speakers have said, it is a\u00a0tangible and material beginning of the process of uncovering the history of many forgotten heroes<\/em> \u2013 said Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom this point of view, it was an unusual construction for our company. In\u00a0July 2017, we\u00a0signed a\u00a0contract. The renovation and reconstruction took 17 months. During this five-month period, additional works related to\u00a0additional passages and accesses to\u00a0buildings were carried out<\/em> \u2013 added Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n

Construction began in\u00a0July 2017 and included the modernization and expansion of the old detention center, originally a\u00a0tsarist prison from 1903. The total area of the facility is 3.5 thousandm2<\/sup> \u2013 the entire facility consists of six buildings, including two new facilities.<\/p>\n

Budimex is also involved in\u00a0other key construction sites for Polish history, such as\u00a0the Polish History Museum in\u00a0Warsaw and the Sybir Memorial Museum in\u00a0Bia\u0142ystok.<\/p>\n
