\n Budimex \u2013 the largest Polish general contractor \u2013 is inaugurating another student internship programme for 2019. What can students dreaming of a\u00a0career in\u00a0construction expect in\u00a0the jubilee tenth edition? Internship salaries, medical care, gaining valuable experience in\u00a0construction, with the leader of the Polish construction market. For 10 years, Budimex has been supporting the development of young people in\u00a0the industry by\u00a0organising m.in for them. paid internships as\u00a0part of the Budimex Academy project. During this time, over 3 thousand students and graduates of Polish universities completed internships. <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

\u2013 The program is very popular. On\u00a0average, ten students apply for one place. At\u00a0Budimex, we\u00a0know that in\u00a0the construction industry, practice is as\u00a0important as\u00a0theoretical knowledge gained at\u00a0university. For this reason, we\u00a0decided to\u00a0give young people a\u00a0chance to\u00a0learn the specifics of work on\u00a0a\u00a0large scale even before obtaining professional titles, so that they enter the labor market confidently and consciously. Supporting their professional development also brings profits to\u00a0us as\u00a0a\u00a0company, because thanks to\u00a0the creativity and energy of young people, we\u00a0can creatively and courageously take on\u00a0new challenges posed to\u00a0us by\u00a0the industry<\/em> \u2013 says Cezary M\u0105czka \u2013 Member of the Management Board \u2013 Director of Human Resources Management at\u00a0Budimex SA.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The value of the internships is confirmed by\u00a0their participants. I\u00a0have significantly expanded my\u00a0 knowledge in\u00a0the field of project management, the Industry 4.0 industry and many other topics. In\u00a0addition, I\u00a0worked in\u00a0a\u00a0great team with inspiring people willing to\u00a0share their experience<\/em> \u2013 says Aleksandra Puczowska, a\u00a0student of Civil Engineering from\u00a0 the Warsaw University of Technology.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Budimex gives you the opportunity to\u00a0learn how to\u00a0confirm your skills on\u00a0important construction projects. In\u00a0the technical office, we\u00a0have access to\u00a0the latest technologies. The opportunity to\u00a0participate in\u00a0projects such as\u00a0the S16, S17 or\u00a0DK12 road gives a\u00a0lot of satisfaction, new knowledge and skills. Creating digital terrain models, routes, grades or\u00a0modeling the bodies of designed roads provides a\u00a0solid basis for being a\u00a0designer\u2019s assistant in\u00a0the future \u2013 says Karol Zawada from the Warsaw University of Technology. In\u00a02017, he\u00a0completed an internship on\u00a0the LK7 contract in\u00a0Garwolin, and since June 2018 he\u00a0has been an apprentice in\u00a0the Technical Office in\u00a0the road department. <\/em><\/p>\n

Agnieszka Dedio from the Silesian University of Technology emphasizes the unique value of the internships themselves: You can learn a\u00a0lot while being on\u00a0the construction site. In\u00a0fact, it is only during internships that you get to\u00a0know everything from the practical side and discover things you had no\u00a0idea about before. I\u00a0wholeheartedly encourage you to\u00a0take part in\u00a0the internship at\u00a0Budimex, because it is a\u00a0reliable company with very well-qualified employees. Due to\u00a0the knowledge and experience of the employees as\u00a0well as\u00a0the wonderful atmosphere, you can learn a\u00a0lot and gain professional experience at\u00a0a\u00a0high level \u2013 <\/em>adds Agnieszka. <\/em> <\/p>\n

\n The Internship Programme at\u00a0Budimex \u2013 the way from gaining experience<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Although students usually start the internship program at\u00a0the beginning of the summer holidays, Budimex recruits people to\u00a0complete them throughout the year. All you have to\u00a0do\u00a0is fill in\u00a0the form on\u00a0the www.akademiabudimex.pl<\/a> website and take part in\u00a0an online game, the result of which is part of the candidate\u2019s assessment. An internship at\u00a0Budimex is an offer for people who, under the leadership of experienced specialists, want to\u00a0take their first professional steps and learn more about the specifics of working in\u00a0the construction industry. In\u00a0appreciation of the work of the interns, Budimex pays for the internships, and each of the students or\u00a0graduates is also entitled to\u00a0private medical insurance. \u2013 Internships last from one month to\u00a0half a\u00a0year, and during their duration we\u00a0focus primarily on\u00a0the student\u2019s learning and development. For this reason \u00a0, each apprentice gains access to\u00a0a\u00a0lot of additional training, which they can take full advantage of, depending on\u00a0their interests <\/em>\u2013 says Cezary M\u0105czka.<\/p>\n

\n Budimex Academy \u2013 a\u00a0compendium of knowledge about working in\u00a0the construction industry<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Internship Program is not all that the Polish construction leader has to\u00a0offer to\u00a0students. As\u00a0part of the Budimex Academy, young people will have the opportunity to\u00a0meet experts from the construction sector at\u00a0their universities at\u00a0workshops. This is a\u00a0great opportunity to\u00a0expand your knowledge with practical tips from experienced engineers and the opportunity to\u00a0get answers to\u00a0bothering questions about working in\u00a0the construction industry. From this year, the company, following the spirit of the times, also offers online education to\u00a0students. Online training will concern, for example, soft skills important in\u00a0professional work and issues related to\u00a0building a\u00a0personal brand. As\u00a0part of its online activities, Budimex has also prepared a\u00a0Facebook fanpage and a\u00a0YouTube channel called \u201cBudimex Academy\u201d (https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC3fB1_awH_7P0oTF8lS0wwg<\/a>), where you will be\u00a0able to\u00a0see what our contracts look like and listen to\u00a0the advice of older colleagues. In\u00a0turn, the Instagram profile \u201ckarierabudimex\u201d (https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/karierabudimex\/<\/a>) will be\u00a0a\u00a0source of short reports from the construction site and a\u00a0place for virtual meetings with engineers, during which it will be\u00a0possible to\u00a0ask questions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Students interested in\u00a0railways under special supervision<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This year, the Budimex Academy paid special attention to\u00a0railway specialisation. With this construction sector in\u00a0mind, a\u00a0competition is organized for those interested in\u00a0railways \u2013 #GraOTor. Meetings with full-time and part-time students are also planned as\u00a0part of the #Wejd\u017aNaDobreTory week. They will be\u00a0implemented from mid-March, m.in.\u00a0at\u00a0the Military University of Technology in\u00a0Warsaw. \u201d Rail is a\u00a0construction sector in\u00a0which we\u00a0want to\u00a0invest intensively in\u00a0the coming years, so we\u00a0believe that it is worth taking care of the promotion of this field of study among students of technical faculties now<\/em> ,\u201d says Cezary M\u0105czka.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
