Budimex SA together with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways have officially opened the Suwa\u0142ki bypass. The thirteen-kilometre-long investment, implemented in\u00a0the \u201cdesign and build\u201d mode, is an extension of the August\u00f3w bypass. The contract was completed on\u00a0time. The construction started in\u00a0February 2017 and lasted 26 months. It is the first expressway with a\u00a0concrete surface in\u00a0the province. Podlaskie.<\/p>\n

The new bypass is a\u00a0total of nearly 40 km of newly built roads. Over 12 km of the main route of the S61 road, 8.5 km of transverse roads with bituminous surface and 17.5 km of service and access roads to\u00a0the areas adjacent to\u00a0the investment were built.<\/p>\n

The construction of the bypass in\u00a0the Podlaskie Voivodeship, the investor of which was the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in\u00a0Bia\u0142ystok, has been completed. Budimex SA designed and built the city\u2019s bypass, covering over 12.8 km of the S61 expressway, and also completed elements of the \u201cSuwa\u0142ki P\u00f3\u0142noc\u201d junction in\u00a0the first stage, i.e.: slip road P1 with a\u00a0length of approx. 670 m with the necessary technical infrastructure, buildings and construction equipment.<\/p>\n

The momentum with which the bypass was built is evidenced by\u00a0the tons and kilometers of materials that were used to\u00a0create it. \u201cOver 281 thousand zlotys were used for the cement concrete substructure and surface. m3 of this raw material. Engineering structures, on\u00a0the other hand, consumed 1 thousand. m3 of non-structural concrete and 16.5 thousand. m3 of structural concrete<\/em>\u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex SA. Other materials that were used in\u00a0this investment were reinforcing steel \u2013 2811 tons or\u00a0coal and gravel \u2013 3.5 million tons. \u201cIn total, we\u00a0have built over 12 km of the main route of the S61 road, 8.5 km of transverse roads with bituminous surface and 17.5 km of service and access roads to\u00a0the areas adjacent to\u00a0the investment<\/em> \u2013 adds Dariusz Blocher. The roads have also been supplemented with engineering structures, including m.in.\u00a0a\u00a0bridge, 11 viaducts, 3 animal crossings, various types of culverts, 11 retention and infiltration reservoirs and one retention reservoir.<\/p>\n

The infrastructure accompanying the new bypass is complemented by\u00a053.5 km of energy-absorbing barriers, 17 km of soundproofing and 0.6 km of anti-glare screens and over 27 km of fencing. \u201cIn addition, the project provides for the planting of approx. 2300 trees and 28 thousand. pieces of shrubs \u2013 adds Dariusz Blocher.<\/p>\n

The value of the bypass project is over PLN 253 million. The road, adapted to\u00a0the heaviest vehicles, is to\u00a0end the transit traffic running through Suwa\u0142ki.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
