The leader of the Polish construction industry has completed the construction of another investment. Thanks to\u00a0Budimex, Krak\u00f3w has been enriched with a\u00a0modern office building created for Ghelamco Poland. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Construction of the . BIG started in\u00a0July 2017 and lasted 15 months until the occupancy permit was obtained. The entire construction, including the fit-out area, was completed in\u00a02019. The cubic capacity of the entire investment is over 73 thousandm3<\/sup>, and its usable area reaches 10 thousandm2<\/sup>. The building is located in\u00a0Krakow, at\u00a0the intersection of Kapelanka and gen. B.\u00a0Zieli\u0144ski. It has four above-ground floors. The ground floor will be\u00a0devoted to\u00a0the service part. The building has a\u00a0two-level underground garage, equipped m.in.\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0bicycle parking lot with sockets for charging electric two-wheelers.<\/p>\n

Ecological nature of the investment<\/strong><\/p>\n

The building was built in\u00a0the BREEAM system, which means that both at\u00a0the design and execution level, the investment has been subjected to\u00a0a\u00a0strict assessment in\u00a0terms of its impact on\u00a0the environment. \u201cWe wanted to\u00a0create a\u00a0building with high energy efficiency, which is why the office building has m.in installed. light intensity sensors that automatically adjust its power, depending on\u00a0the time of day or\u00a0cloudiness. In\u00a0the pass-through parts and in\u00a0the sanitary rooms, presence sensors were used to\u00a0automatically turn on\u00a0the lighting. In\u00a0addition, the windows are equipped with reed switches that turn off the air conditioning in\u00a0the area where the window is opened <\/em>\u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex SA.\u201cIt is also worth mentioning heating and cooling systems made with a\u00a0strong emphasis on\u00a0the quality of thermal insulation, or\u00a0water saving systems, e.g. in\u00a0washbasins. All this to\u00a0make the operation economical in\u00a0every respect <\/em>\u2013 adds Pawe\u0142 Opoka, contract director on\u00a0behalf of Budimex.<\/p>\n

It is also worth noting that the employees of the office building will have at\u00a0their disposal over 200m2<\/sup> of terrace located on\u00a0the roof, from which there is a\u00a0view of the panorama of Krakow, along with its most characteristic places \u2013 Wawel Castle and the Ko\u015bciuszko Mound. \u2013 In\u00a0this investment, we\u00a0have managed to\u00a0combine features such as\u00a0functionality, elegance and ecological character of the building. At\u00a0Ghelamco, we\u00a0always try to\u00a0meet the expectations of future tenants of our buildings. We\u00a0are sure that thanks to\u00a0the technologies used, the . BIG in\u00a0Krakow will meet the needs of even the most demanding users<\/em> \u2013 says Jaros\u0142aw Zag\u00f3rski, Commercial and Business Development Director at\u00a0Ghelamco Poland.<\/p>\n

Main tenant \u2013 American financial corporation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main tenant of the finished investment is Bank State Street, for which Budimex SA has arranged four floors. \u2013 The Bank requires the use of special architectural and construction solutions. For this reason, we\u00a0have equipped the investment with, for example, anti-terrorist protection, a\u00a0system of mobile flood barriers, or\u00a0a\u00a0leak detection installation in\u00a0individual rooms. In\u00a0turn, in\u00a0the underground garage, which can accommodate\u00a0 125 cars, we\u00a0have built safety locks<\/em>\u2013 says Dariusz Blocher. The office building has also been equipped with a\u00a0number of amenities that will respond to\u00a0the modern needs of future employees. We\u00a0are talking m.in.\u00a0about a\u00a0complex of sanitary and cloakroom rooms for cyclists. \u2013 Each floor has also been equipped with a\u00a0separate server room and kitchen. On\u00a0the top floor, there is a\u00a0canteen, conference rooms and a\u00a0relaxation room.
