Nineteen floors, over 15 thousand m\u00b2 of usable area and a\u00a0two-level underground car park. Budimex has completed the construction of a\u00a0new multifunctional office and service building in\u00a0Warsaw\u2019s Mokot\u00f3w district. The investor is the Transport Technical Supervision.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The construction of the facility located at\u00a0the intersection of Pu\u0142awska and Bukowi\u0144ska streets in\u00a0Warsaw began in\u00a0October 2016. The skyscraper consists of several interconnected segments, which are joined by\u00a0a\u00a0light grey, three-dimensional fa\u00e7ade made of prefabricated concrete slabs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe completed investment fits perfectly into Budimex\u2019s implementation standards, combining functionality, quality of workmanship and the visual layer. The modern design of the project is expressed in\u00a0the body, which has been divided into two parts. The first, lower one is a\u00a0five-storey podium, in\u00a0which the conference and office part are located. The second is a\u00a0nineteen-storey tower with a\u00a0height of 55 m, in\u00a0which (from the 7th floor) there is a\u00a0guest part with an impressive view of the panorama of Warsaw<\/em> \u2013 says Artur Popko, Vice-President of Budimex SA. A\u00a0two-storey underground car park with 121 parking spaces is also located under the entire facility. The total area of the property is almost 24 thousand. m\u00b2, the volume of the building is 90,885 m\u00b3.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0addition, the design documentation of the investment was prepared over 5 years ago and here, too, in\u00a0order to\u00a0meet the expectations of the Investor, we\u00a0have proposed replacement solutions that meet the standards for 2021. I\u00a0am\u00a0particularly thinking here of the area of sanitary, teletechnical and automation installations \u2013 adds Artur Popko. Despite these circumstances, the investment was completed within the contractual deadline.<\/p>\n

Unusual design<\/strong>
Particularly noteworthy are the interesting solutions used during the implementation of the investment, including m.in.\u00a0the use of architectural concrete. While as\u00a0a\u00a0standard, concrete elements are subject to\u00a0further finishing, in\u00a0the case of the Transport Technical Supervision facility, the design assumed that the curtain walls would be\u00a0made in\u00a0such an aesthetics that would not require further finishing. A\u00a0m.in was necessary to\u00a0carry out the work. selection of the appropriate concrete mix or\u00a0the use of dedicated formwork. \u2013 The quality, repeatability and scale of the work performed were the innovative elements of this project. To\u00a0confirm the technology, ten test concreting was performed. Not only a\u00a0special, unique method of laying formwork was developed, but a\u00a0whole system of methods of joining, selection of formwork elements and chemicals<\/em> \u2013 says Marcin Mastalerz, Budimex Site Manager.<\/p>\n

Speed and safety of work<\/strong>
As\u00a0part of the project, the contractor used self-climbing formwork to\u00a0make reinforced concrete curtain walls. This type of solution in\u00a0relation to\u00a0the classic system, in\u00a0which the displacement of the formwork elements is related to\u00a0their assembly and disassembly by\u00a0employees, allows work to\u00a0be\u00a0carried out safely at\u00a0height. \u2013 The solution made it possible m.in.\u00a0more efficient vertical movement of formwork without the use of a\u00a0tower crane, and concreting cycles of the facility\u2019s elements were faster<\/em> \u2013 says Marcin Mastalerz. In\u00a0addition, the self-climbing formwork did not require storage space on\u00a0the construction site \u2013 there was no\u00a0need to\u00a0disassemble and reassemble the formwork.<\/p>\n

Budimex, as\u00a0a\u00a0leader in\u00a0the construction industry, has made many investments for business and public buildings. The most important projects completed by\u00a0the company include, among others, a\u00a0modern office building. BIG and the headquarters of the Customs Chamber in\u00a0Krakow, the building of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in\u00a0Lublin or\u00a0the ecological PIXEL in\u00a0Pozna\u0144, awarded the title of \u201cConstruction of the Year\u201d.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n
